Thunder or Beautiful. Both are very classic and relatively easily accessible tracks.

I’ll go ahead and do a preemptive ranking lol. As always things may change as more time passes with BB. 1. Honeymoon 2. Blue Banisters 3. Norman 4. Ultra (Very close w/Norm. No denying it is a classic and true Lana staple. It really is in a league of its own. That said as I have gotten older and more mature I just find myself relating to it less, still one of her best though.) 5. Lust For Life/Chemtrails 6. Paradise/AKA 7. Born To Die

Beautiful did give me slight Adele and Taylor vibes as well. The question is who or what came first, the egg or the chicken so to speak lol. As previously mentioned Lana has heavily inspired many current artists. So when we hear a Lana song and think of another artist is that truly the other artists impact or Lana’s herself lol. Just fun and crazy to think about. We love stanning a modern/contemporary legend.

BB def hits for me. I’m going to sit with it a bit more before ranking the albums themselves. That said though it really is shaping up to be one of my favorites. As I said before it just feels so inviting. Like talking/reconnecting with an old friend. It has that classic feel/vibe. Also let me just say how fucking happy I am to have/be able to actually hear the varied instruments in the songs. So fucking wonderful and beautiful.

I'd love Thunder, If You Lie, or the title track. While I think the last two are much less likely I do believe Thunder has a good chance of being the one!

In regards to the whole Colbert thing I am thinking Arcadia or Thunder with the backing singers. I think the latter could be a real possibility if live live lol. I think she might feel more comfortable with them. That said it could be a whole pre recorded sit like the last one. Interested to see what that will be about!

Of course I was working when everything originally happened yesterday. That said I have sat with the songs for a while now and I can say they are truly something very special. I do agree it is a heavier piece of work to digest and I can see how it isn't some's cup of tea but I find it so raw and refreshing. It's def not playing things safe or vanilla, very progressive and still on brand. Out of the new songs not previously leaked/released I would say my faves are If You Lie Down With Me, Beautiful, and Black Bathing Suit. Sweet Carolina is also just so beautiful and intimate as well, love it. Really the only song that didn't hit me as hard is Violets. Either way another amazing album, classic yet again, nobody does it like her. Her contemporaries really cannot compete.

I agree they are not pop and always thought it was crazy. Am I losing it or wasn’t there some recent info stating she had submitted under alternative but the noms were all transferred to pop? That info could be false too though. Regardless the Grammys are so political now. Lana is it not one to play the game so I really don’t see much changing for her Grammy wise. I agree w you in that COCC probably will be snubbed for noms. We will see I guess.

Lana’s albums have always been in pop categories. It is unfortunate because they really would do better in alternative. They are not traditional pop. In saying that though it was recently revealed a while back that her team has been submitting her under the alternative category but the Grammy’s change them to the pop categories. Not sure how or why or if it is true but it was something that was discussed sometime ago. At the end of the day the Grammys have truly become a popularity contest. While I do think Lana still wants a Grammy I think she is really disillusioned after NFR and probably has a more fuck it attitude about it. Idk I don’t see COCC really getting any noms with it being a less saturated release. If it does that would be amazing but we already know it will be snubbed win wise. I hate to be cynical but the odds and politics are just not in her favor.

Gosh love Lana so much, just so natural and elegantly beautiful. I love when we get to hear the the little interactions in studio and hear her lay the tracks.

I love the OG Thunder but am very excited to hear the reworked version based off of the description provided. It’ll be nice to hear the new take. I can’t help but feel/want/wonder if the build up also involves the backing vocals. Love those ladies, they add so much to the tracks they’re on.

I think when she says Chicken she is referring to Chuck, we know that is Chuck's nickname. I have always kind of wondered if maybe Chucks nickname is chicken bc Charlie is called Chucky or whatever too if that makes sense lol.

Lol I did the white, yellow, and target exclusive vinyls + target cd. Considering the black vinyl so I don't have to open the others but honestly that's a bit too much for me already lol. Also wanting to hold off a bit too to see if anything else drops.

The way Blue Banisters is still so fresh and beautiful. She is still that girl! Just something very special about it to me. Preferences and opinions aside all the tracks released thus far have been so brilliant. So excited for the record to officially drop and the opportunity absorb it in full.
