you’re right we haven’t heard it all! I’m sure I’ll grow to appreciate it in its own right. But they certainly have changed enough of the lyrics. It’s not the same level the original was to me. It just comes off as shallow in a way with the lyrics they did change.

That countdown in California truly fucks me up! I cannot wait. That song is soooo good. I can already tell!

Love Song, Cinnamon Girl, and California are those songs as far as the snippets are concerned to me. Also very excited for The Greatest and FILY. Still also very excited for HIAB, sounds so nice with the studio snippet. I think I def prefer the basic piano instrumental with HTD. The beats are very interesting but take away from the song for me. It reminds me of BTD, the album, a lot for me. Poor BAR though, they did it so dirty. I know I haven’t heard it in full but I can tell I’ll def prefer the original. I really like all the snippets, very very very excited. Def is shaping up to be one of her strongest releases.

Just wanted to remind everyone how great Mariner’s Apt Complex is. It was the best single released and will stay one of the best tracks on the album once fully released. Truly amazing, instant classic. Been on repeat all day today!

Interesting rollout lol! I don’t mind the color of the green vinyl but am not loving that pop art stylized cover. Wish they would have had the normal cover, oh well. I bought it regardless! Will prob get a regular black one to play anyways. Love the few tour dates she dropped, just hope more US dates will be added between the west coast tour and European leg. Praying she hits up the rest of us in January! Doubtful but one can dream.

I don’t dislike the blue. It’s a nice color. Not what I expected. That said I think the regular black looks soooooo good with the cover! I’d say pretty high considering there is s prebuilt link for NFR. As others have said since it is only streaming services it’s probably for the title track!

I don’t know why but I can see a single premiere middle of next week possibly on Beats and then the pre order and possible video Friday. I don’t think she’ll say anything until next week basically! (ProTip) If you don’t expect anything this week and we get something then it makes it that much better. In the meantime pre order All Mirrors by Angel Olsen.

Thinking he may be in the dark as we are considering he thought the Shazam tags initially could have been real. I think we are all just speculating at this point! Anyways have fun with it lol. Nothing much really! Same shit, different day lol! People are arguing over the validity of Shazam Tags now. Cinnamon is now tagged as Cinnamon Girl and the “you don’t ever have to snippet” is tagged as California. People are in disagreement in whether or not title changes are legit and their source. Fan made videos for each have those names but the owner of the channel verified they changed the titles when checking Shazam this morning. Pretty much in the same boat as before! Lana do something lol.

Just finished The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager! I’ve had the book forever but never read it. Very glad I opened it up on a whim, thoroughly enjoyed. Now about to start Lock Every Door by the same author.

September is right around the corner. Of course I’d much prefer it now lol, but the fact that she is doing a live lounge is so crazy to me! Like I don’t think she’s done an actual one since BTD, which blessed us with Goodbye Kiss! She did do a small performance for Honeymoon but it was audio only. I’m really hoping they come through with the video recording and top notch cover! So excitedddd!

This makes perfect sense to me but something to think about is importance of streams. Even just a few years ago it wasn’t as heavily relied on much less 6+ years ago. While it makes sense to not have Doin Time on there I can def see the label making it a bonus track to take advantage of the additional streams. Do I think Lana would be happy with that, probably not. But I feel like she has had to make some compromises to get this album out the way that she wants. My hype was so at bay for this album but now I’m getting so excited thinking about it and ya talking about it. Hopefully these months go by fast!

I think she does care about the album itself and the way it’s presented as in the tracklisting. The music itself is what she cares about but the rest of it she doesn’t. The promoting, the videos, interviews, etc. I think she’s at a point where she wants the music to speak for itself and doesn’t want/feel the need to put much effort into pushing it.

That’s how I used to feel and still do. But I can also seeing it being like are you ready for the new her. Like she is shedding the person she was. I can see it being like a way of her saying goodbye to the persona she carried and crafted for so long. I’m probably thinking into it too much but find it interesting!

Crazy thought, since talking about tracklisting lol! I’ve always had in my mind Mariners will open but listening to it this morning I can def hear it closing the album. Just listening to it in relation to the snippets and songs we have so far it seems like the other songs she are more submissive in a sense and this one is more assertive. I can see Mariners being like a summarization of the past tracks and her growth through them. I can def see the “are you ready for it” being a way to segue into the person she feels like she has become. Probably a dumb interpretation but I’m totally here for it. I see Venice Bitch being a transitional track and the second half possibly being HTD Hope and possibly Mariners if it doesn’t open. Either way Mariners will either open or close and that’s final lol.
