RT I was thinking about this yesterday. Like if the album is delayed due to label/politics maybe the next is already well under way. I know we are totally delusional to think this but I’d love this idea!

Just give in and don’t anticipate the album till September, that’s honestly what I’m expecting! Who the fuck knows though.

To each their own, music is of course subjective. That said there is no comparison between Weyes and Billie lol! It’s like apples and oranges. Weyes is a real singer/songwriter type on a whole other level. At least that’s my two cents. I also hadn’t listened to Weyes before until about a week and a half ago. I stanned that 60’s/70’s vibe instantly. Contemporary yet classic! Either way sorry you couldn’t get into it.

It really is amazing, all of the songs are great and go perfectly together. My faves are Andromeda, Something to Believe, Mirror Forever, and Wild Time. That said every song is great.

She is promoting an amazing album though, taste! That said she def knows what we expect when we see insta updates lol. I really think it just may be out of her hands. Sucks! Anyways stream Titanic Rising while we wait.

She’s so crazy lol, love her. The SoundCloud song is very nice too, I love how she’s dropping little tracks here and there!

I’m very annoyed and agitated with her but I do have to say that she is looking so good here lately! Anyways those posts are pointless, it wouldn’t be so bad if she didn’t know everyone is wondering where the album is! Seems like she’s enjoying herself though, so good for her. Wow! Probably false but does have my mind swirling! It would be an interesting album indeed. Can’t wait to see if any of these are true. I agree if she is calling out people Interscope may be holding this back. The album, I think, has been done so it’s not entirely unrealistic that someone could have heard it either legally or illegally lol. I’m now overloading my mind with conspiracies lol. Either way I guess we will have a better idea of how true these things are once the track list is revealed. I am def here for a little controversy and some risks! Fresh out of fucks forever.

Never really listened to her but had seen her mentioned around here quite a bit. That was until yesterday when I gave Front Row Seat to Earth a full listen and wow!!!! Loved everything about it, very 70’s. It was a great album. She reminds me so much of singers like Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Ann Wilson, and even a bit of Sarah Mclachlan. She’s an amazing lyricist. Anyways gave the new stuff a listen and the production is amazing. Different than the previous album but familiar at the same time, really looking forward to it! When is it supposed to be released? Can’t believe I slept so long on her.

Like everybody has said it is one of two things - surprise release or label hold up! I find the former to be way more unlikely. I think her tweet was a roundabout way to draw attention to the delay and call out her label without outright doing it. There are a lot of politics that go into this, Lana may say she has the creative freedom she has but she is still under contract with Interscope. At the end of the day they control the show. On top of that I don’t see her being bold enough to blatantly call them out of it is them while the album is in limbo. Anyways I’ve been thinking about it and I’m really not expecting anything as far as the album until the Malahide date. I think they could maybe use that to pump things up a bit more. We will see though! I loved MAC last night though. I know everybody is VB this and VB that but MAC is the superior track!
