She said it is brought from an upcoming album, no need to worry. It is so amazing I agree! This is the Lana I've needed and wanted. This is another level! The honesty, vulnerability, lyricism, sound, vibe, everything.

I see cohesion coming, I love the titles being referenced in other tracks. i. e. Venice Bitch in MAC.

Okay out of work for the day and wow OMFG! It is so fresh yet so UV. The lyrics are back and they are so fucking good! I'm so excited for this record. I just can't get over the lyrics and the rock/country undertones. It is so beautiful I love it. The interview was great too. The only thing that concerns me is she mentioned she has already sequenced the tracks which means the album itself is virtually complete probably and she is waiting to release the poetry. The time in between now and then makes me worried she may get a wild hair and try to rework things. That said it's a minor possibility, she seems very self assured about this project and I am so ready for it. Let me just say how fucking ready I am for the Laurel Canyon/Surf Rock vibes - yes yes yes. Rock Lana is the best! Really all Lana's are but I love this for her.

I think Mariner’s video will be up after radio premiere. Maybe a couple of hours.

That is short, eeeekkk lol. Jk, I see what you mean though. Yes that will be about a year that they worked together. Very interesting to think about and speculate. I loved LFL honestly but I understand what you're saying as far as cohesion. It would also be interesting if their writing sessions were so prolific she released an album with something like 15 tracks. I'm just curious about the dynamics of it all and the behind the scenes of everything. How did they connect, what drew Lana to him, how is their working relationship, like I want to hear all of it lol. Will Rick be anywhere on the album? Or do we think it will be exclusively Jack? If so why the departure from Rick, so many questions!!!!!! Inquiring minds want to know lol.

Not going to lie I was low key pressed about the whole 2 songs this week and Venice Bitch not coming till next week but I'm actually getting hyped about it. I'm excited to see how Lana describes it or what she says about it and then having it to look forward to next week lol! All forgiven!!!

Very excited to have tangible news! I'm a little bummed that we will have to wait till next week for "Venice Bitch" lol. Loving the titles so far, very very good and seem like instant classics. If we are saying probable release in 2019 I'm hoping early 2019. If the album is almost complete I can see us getting these songs and then a dry spell for another few months and maybe another single drop and then another one right before album release. I'm curious how long the album will be this time around, especially with waiting till 2019.

This! It just doesn't make sense for these to be standalones. She hasn't been the type to really just release songs by themselves, they always end up on an album. Yes the album may not be coming this week or next month or even the month after but I have a feeling we will have one by the end of the year. These songs are definitely a prelude to a project that is either completed or nearly completed. Just because she doesn't say "singles from the album" doesn't mean there isn't an album and they won't be included on it!

Her not saying album specifically I think is her playing coy and a way for her to build interest into the project even more. I really think it’s unrealistic that these two tracks will be standalone. That’s just my take though. Hopefully we will find out soon enough though.

I’m going to say no collabs or features on this one.

I love the high notes also, I can feel them kicking in where that snippet of MAC ends. I'd be down for that. I really love the juxtaposition of her lower register against her high notes.

I agree with everything else you said, no wonder I enjoy reading your posts so much lol. Great minds and all! I really would love this direction though. I'm kind of at that point personally as well so it would be nice to share that with her music. She is so cathartic in many ways. She has such good timing and is so easily relatable! I think we are in store for something good! Really cannot wait, just a few days and we will have a good indicator of what may be coming. Hopefully the rest of it is coming sooner rather than later.

Hoping for the song in the story, it sounds so somber and just my vibe lol. If not it then RBFY. I’ve been wanting Roses ever since she previewed it. Happiness wasn’t bad but definitely would be my last pick lol!

To each their own. I’m sorry you’re feeling less and less drawn to her newer work. She has definitely progressed and matured so much over the last several albums. I personally love it and am so happy her music has matured as she has. That could be because I’m in my late 20’s but I really feel a kindredness as she progresses lol. It’s a great thing to see someone evolve over time. Anyways maybe as you grow, change, and get older you’ll come to appreciate the recent albums more than you do now.
