Loved reading this, good insights. It really is such an immersive film/novel. It’s so easy to get completely caught up in your thoughts, feelings, and interpretations. It’s the best! I def think you hit Oliver on the head. He is so much more sensitive than his appearance makes him out to be. Like I’ve said before this is especially depicted in the novel with his friendship with Vimini. I love him!

Yes it is a def fave of mine lol! That whole time and era was just so magical to me. I've always loved it. Yes Fleetwood Mac is def one of my favorites. I always grew up listening to them. Rhiannon wouldn't have been so bad, or would it? What are your thoughts on it lol? My dad wanted to name Dusty after Dusty Hill from ZZ Top lol, the fuck. Thankfully they settled on Dustin. Everyone still calls me Dusty though! I love when people are into the older tunes though. Honestly they really don't make music like they used to. I'm sure we all have our modern faves but there was so much good music before all this lol!

I'm really not familiar with this band or the program that they are on but they discuss Lana @ 3:45. I always find it interesting to hear other artists discuss Lana. Apparently from what I've researched they are a rather popular band in the UK. Thought I'd share.

Yes they should have! I really wish they had. It’s a huge part of the book for me honestly. It really adds to the dimension of their love. I especially love when Oliver talks about waking up from a coma. I love the movie don’t get me wrong but not including the whole book was a disservice. That’s my opinion though! No to a sequel but YES to releasing an extended unedited version of film.

I agree. Lol sounds like we have a similar ranking Paradise > BTD for me too lol. Anyways hoping one day we get the original demos and what not for the album. I definitely think it would have been more cohesive in the fact that the sound wouldn’t have been as diverse. Either way BAR deserved better. Glad we at least got it as a leak! I’m excited for the next project already though. Things seem to be in the works lol!

Considering BAR is the second best song from this era I’d say I’d love it. favorites idk. Probably still 3rd fave. One and two being Honeymoon and Ultra! Honestly I’m happy with what we got but still very intrigued to have experienced the original album.

I don’t know why but every time I hear Blue Bayou on the radio it makes me think of Lana. I’d love to hear her cover it. I especially like the Linda Ronstadt version but I’m sure I’d like Lana more lol!

Have you ever seen her live before? If not then do it just to do it. She’s a great performer. Lots of energy and her voice is amazing live. I plan to see her this go round but I actually saw her last time she toured the US last year. I will say that this tours setlist is lacking compared to last years. She’s not playing a lot of the songs I really really liked anymore. She’s mainly playing the popular ones but I’m happy for her. I’m rambling, lol. Go! Just do it. I actually refunded my tickets in Houston when she cancelled b/c of SNL but plan to get tix to her second show date in Dallas!

Must be the same demographic that eats Tide Pods lol! I really enjoyed it myself as well. It’s nice to have an intelligent person ask interesting questions instead of the usual this or that. Lana is always a little dodgy but I really liked the flow of this interview. The whole Weinstein pause was so awkward though. I thought it was really cute when she was talking about Rolling Stone and said the whole hey or listen up buddy thing. I can’t recall the exact words. Also someone already mentioned it but I loved the whole tidbit about the pines!
