I liked Vegas and Jersey too.

Idk why I’m still feeling like it will be all black athletic wear lol! I def don’t think this is a glamour style festival either so idk either. I’m excited too though! It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper performance. I really would love something a little edgier and darker. Who knows what she’ll wear! Maybe we’ll get a dress, maybe we won’t, maybe we’ll get leggings, jeans, a sweater... options are endless. If I have to make a prediction I’m going to say black athletic wear or jeans and a black shirt lol!

Excited to hear Mariner’s live for the the first time. So damn excited honestly, it is my fave NFR single. Really looking forward to Venice too! As for the BTD setlist I’m not surprised. A. It’s Lana and she likes to stay in her comfort zone and B. It is a festival, of course she is expected to play her more popular tracks for the more casual listener. We shouldn’t have expected anything different honestly. The setlist makes sense for the occasion. Besides that really just hoping she drops some news even if only crumbs!

Wow lol, this is a true shit show! Oh well at least it was entertaining and not completely dead for once. Glad to finally have a definitive answer as far as there not being a date. I’ve been thinking there wasn’t one honestly. Not expecting it anytime soon! Just praying it’s not due to revisions and and a whole second guessing herself situation! I’ve seen it speculated and I’m beginning to wonder myself whether or not this has something to do with the use of Norman Rockwell’s name or estate. I’m not going to pretend to know how all that works but could there be a hold up due to whoever is over that not wanting his name used for the album title or song especially with the expletive. Lana has always seemed like the type to jump in and ask questions later so my mind wonders if she was supposed to get some sort of approval from them before going live with all of this and didn’t. Who fucking knows though. Maybe she’s just holding out for her book or maybe she’s redoing the whole damn thing. I guess we will find out by December lol! The more I think about it the more I think it’s probably due to trying to get publishing, distribution, or production for book to coincide with album release. She was originally saying she would just drop off copies locally but now Ben says it will be internationally available. So they are probably trying to work out a release for them simultaneously to milk us for every penny they can.

I’m normally a pretty chill and patient person but I’m over the bullshit, where in the fuck is the album Lana!?! Is it ever happening or should we just move on, this limbo is not it sweetie. Lol. Jk. But seriously like where is the damn release date.

Rick gets slept on a lot here but what people need to understand is that a lot of the production decisions are Lana’s. He’s very capable of producing an array of different sounds and vibes. Anyways while we are back on the subject of what producers we’d like for her to work with, for the hundredth time, I would really like to hear more stuff from her and Greg Kurstin.

Honestly I’ve just resigned myself to to expect the album late summer/early fall. A la Honeymoon! March isn’t happening lol, we need to get that out of our minds. April could be a possibility but I’m not setting myself up for that lol. Whenever it comes it comes. Really looking forward to it and hope it’s asap. That said hopefully we won’t be doing a bunch of little last minute changes, don’t over edit and rethink yourself Lana. Your gut/1st instinct is usually best. There’s one change I’d be here for which is an unpopular opinion, I’d love to have the two Ally Coalition songs. She does country so well and beautifully. They feel silky smooth and timeless. Hey Baby Blue is that bitch! Kacey had mentioned wanting to collaborate with Lana a while back - pick up the phone Lana. We want this, we need this! It’d be beautiful I think. Anyways just my two cents! Let the drought continue, hopefully we all make it through.

Grammys have been bullshit for a very long time lol. I’d love Lana to have that accolade, which she very much deserves, but at the end of the day you have to play that game. It’s more of a popularity contest/behind the scene type of deal I feel. I honestly feel like Dua and several others won due to the controversy about there being a lack of female representation. Big shout out to Kacey though!!!! Very happy about her wins. She is amazing and those were very much deserved. Also I know this is probably untrue and total conspiracy theory but I wonder if Lana not ever winning in any of her Grammy nods or not being nominated for Young and Beautiful had something to do with her interactions with Harvey Weinstein. Like maybe he didn’t get all he wanted or something. Anyways that’s total wonder and speculation! I do have to agree though that a lot of these younger alt artists wouldn’t be here without Lana. I think she knows that and hopefully when it’s all said and done she’ll get the recognition she deserves.

I was thinking this, that’s kind of how I take it, like welcome to NFR. To me I’m considering this the first official tease of the era. Like in a way it’s officially begun.

Excited to hear the rest of HIAB. Definitely don’t think it’s NFR. Thinking she’s captioned it that way because it will probably be the lead from the album! I’m very excited for this full record. It sounds so beautiful so far! I cannot wait. Thinking the more guitar driven tracks won’t be teased. Thinking they will be left to be discovered on the album when released! I’m feeling 13-14 tracks but that could be wishful thinking! And as for all this contradictory info, Mid 2019 is not realistic with the album already being done. All the songs released so far will be on the album. It makes no sense for them not to be! Just breathe and have faith, we are almost there. Can’t wait to take it all in!

Off topic and so overly done but here I go lol.... MAC>>>VB>HIADT VB and HIADT are on level ground for me. I may end up liking the latter more so than the first, being it is much more personal, but we will see over time. MAC has been and feels like it will continue to be that track for me. There’s just something about it! It really pulls me in. In regards to people discussing track order earlier I’d really like for Mariners to open and HIADT feels like a closing track to me. VB would be somewhere near the beginning or transitional in middle! Excited to see what comes. As for the interview today, I’m not holding my breath. As others have said, typically, the song is normally not released until after the premier so i’m going to say it’s a coin toss whether or not that happens today. Time will tell I guess! Let’s cross our fingers.

Listened to it quite a few times now and some parts of it really feel like a continuation or evolution of the Beautiful People Demo to me. I mean meaning and lyrically. It just makes me think of it for some reason.
