  1. Thank god everyone here hates Irrelevant Swift
  2. Not to target anyone, but If you complain about snoozing melody and simplistic chorus why haven't you gone since Ultraviolence released?
  3. Anyone noticed Lana followed Apple Music on Twitter? This may hint something...
  4. I like how 'boring' it is, and I really am looking forward to this era
  5. Then why would she made videos if she hasn't finish the album yet?
  6. Quite odd that Apple didn't use UV album cover on any of the promo this time, despite being one of the best album of '14 (they had F+TM, FKA, St Vincent, Jamie xx, The Weeknd, etc. btw)
  7. Her work in The Other Woman gives me hope that if she ever sings more jazz, it would be good, and unique in her own way.
  8. Maybe her PR team asked the model for mention, hence free promotion?
  9. It might have been for Coexist though, not his solo album. Hence a really long time ago
  10. Thanks to Lana now I love jazz so much. I listen to KJazz 88.1 (the one she posted on Instagram) literally every day.
  11. I truly don't think Lana would change - or want to change - the themes she has been writing about. She would be more elaborative about it in the next few (hopefully) albums, but not drastically change. I believe it's a part of her artistic process, and I truly wouldn't complain her "singing the same thing every time".
  12. Nobody treats that woman's music seriously so why we have to argue whether she copies Lana or not? That doesn't even matter anyway
  13. The fact that Lana chose who she worked with since the beginning and only work with them because they make good music together means that she probably doesn't care that much about mainstream-ity(?). e.g. Dan Heath used to only work on film score and adverts but then started writing songs with Lana, the drastic change of UV ft. Dan Auerbach. Also the line between indie/mainstream is blurred now. Lana is only mainstream because of that viral song 'Video Games' and (maybe) belongs in Interscope, if she didn't have that her music would have been considered indie. And indie bands work with different people as well - it isn't the case that they only work as a collective anymore. (Thanks for the Lykke Li's example @@whitman) ---- Lana seems to get on well with the key people in Interscope / Universal / Polydor despite being mainstream labels so I don't think she would change to indie (or don't care about indie-mainstream stigma). Maybe being lazy at promoting is what Interscope planned and have been doing?
  14. I truly love the album cover for Ultraviolence. Perfect in every way, represent the album very well. The colour, Lana's expression, the bold and large UV text, everything
  15. I read somewhere that she gained A LOT more fan from the release of UV, which is similar to how indie music industry works - good music, more fans. But the popularity that we are talking about here is the 'viral' one - which Video Games/BTD helped. Hence more promotion needed to help maintain that fame - similar to what Beyonce and Taylor Swift did. Hence all those sorts of big-budget videos and singles during BTD. But the question here is: can one repeat that? or does Lana/Interscope even want that to happen again? That goes in line with what Interscope did because if they thought Lana can they would have forced more promotion for Paradise or UV - but guess what, they didn't. The level of 'famous-ness' Lana is now is still able to maintain her popularity / have fans for at least the next few years. She is still way more popular than many indie artists with equally good music. And Interscope still give her more promotion - prime example here: Endless Summer tour with bigger venue than the last tours. But to be honest, all I care about is her good music. And if she keeps making more good music, that's all I'm here for. And many people are probably have the same view to me. And if by losing fans means losing 12yo teenage girls who hate UV cos it's a snoozefest then no one needs that kind of fans.
  16. She seems to have moved on from UV unfortunately - not to mention finished Honeymoon and release it soon. Remember when she bragged about Tropico for forever since the release of Paradise? That's how a film is guaranteed to happen.
  17. LOL she followed almost everyone who we thought would be working with here: Mark Ronson, that guy from Muse, now this guy (who already worked on SK btw)
  18. LOL accept the truth, Lana will forever singing about bad boys, AND work with Dan Heath
  19. Technically that isn't leaked. Several country e.g. NZ/Aus get their release 1 day early, and some music stores stock the physical version 1 week early. UV surfaced on the internet because someone in a random country got hold of the physical version on the 8th of June
  20. She probably finished recording the album now, that's why she shot 2 videos. Hence, the release date probably is set by Interscope, so that's why it is prime time maybe? What I mean is that I would trust Lana this time
