Of course I love the bonus tracks too, it is just better if it wasn't in the album. Coherence is very important for a good album e.g. that is the reason Lana re-recorded Yayo for Paradise. A better idea would be putting the bonus tracks on a seperate CD, or use them as B-sides for single (nobody does that now anymore, sadly ). Even some mainstream bands like Coldplay (their label: Parlophone) sticks to having only one edition of their album, so this only proves how profit-thirsty Interscope is.

I hate the idea of Interscope forcing her to put 3 more songs in for the deluxe edition. We got three more songs, good, but it makes the album less coherent. Lana mentioned about this in one of her interviews around the time UV released, said that The Other Woman is what she intended the album to be ended with. And it does make sense that way - the whole album sounds a lot better that way actually. Same goes with BTD album, it should end with TIWMUG and Paradise ends with Bel Air. It is sad how all these deluxe / non-deluxe stuff is used purely on marketing and profit-making basis. In my iTunes I always split the regular album and the deluxe bonus tracks

Sometimes I wonder why Lana hasn't moved to an indie label from all these mess and stress from Interscope...

Her visuals, as she mentioned in interviews, are parts of her vision that goes hand-in-hand with her music. And visuals here doesn't only means music videos. She seems to have constructed her 'looks' to match the era/album style, that's why she is so sophisticated in BTD/P (and all those Marilyn Monroe similarity) and more laid-back, minimal make-up with UV. If she were just an commercial singer whose image has to be polished and well-looked after with the the record label, then it wouldn't have been liked this (it would have been more consistent and glamorous). It is actually a gift for her since not many artist can (or do) express their vision visually like Lana. There are other artistic legends but Lana is truly one-of-a-kind.

No it is Rey. I think the app gave you the wrong ID3 tag, because there usually no tag included in the CD but the app will match the CD ID with those tracklist on the internet

The 'extension' EP is usually a promotion trick from the record label side to sell more CDs and counts towards the chart in the same album name, and also backward-promotion (Paradise helped with a lot of sales for BTD). However I have only seen every mainstream singer used this trick once (Gaga's The Fame Monster, Katy's Teenage Dream: Complete Confection, etc.) I have always treated Paradise as an seperate record and its sound is quite distinct from BTD as well. So yeah I don't think Lana will have an extended version for UV. Also with Moroder collaboration the only thing I can think of is that she will sing in one of his track on his album. However his 2015 album was confirmed lately and there is no LDR name on it. Quite disapointed tho

I actually think that "working on a record" means she now has a particular theme or title for the next LP, which will now shapes the sound and the production and etc.

Anyone noticed how the PR article seemed to consistently typed ULTRAVIOLENCE capitalised? Is this how the album name should be?

Black Beauty actually looks like it will be one of those regional (EU) single that get no promotion treatment except for a Radio Mix (Dark Paradise, Summertime Sadness, West Coast) and several radio plays. And I don't even think there will be a radio mix version for Black Beauty

Lana did give us Shades of Cool video, a high-budget one indeed even though it wasn't a single - and I think that was very generous of her. Moreover, I don't think that Ultraviolence video looks low-budget because Interscope didn't give a damn about it. it could well have been that it was what Lana had in her vision and she was being experimental a little bit Look at how Noisey/Vice (instead of the label themselves/Vevo) were the one teased about the video - Interscope must still have had put a lot of effort into promoting the single/video

She did say something about writing more songs, some kind of 'follow up' in recent interviews for UV promo but she didn't say explicitly, or implied that there will be a re-release. I can't remember what interview did she mention about it though

Remember guys, Lana is an mainstream artist in a mainstream label, you can't just expect Lana to perform whatever she wants on stage. I truly feel that she wanted to get over BTD/Paradise era already, as how she mentioned Tropico as a farewell project, and how style of Ultraviolence is so different from BTD/Paradise. And it is only make sense how she is still performing mainly from her old albums - as it is not time yet to 'promote' Ultraviolence - marketing strategically as someone mentioned before.

People don't go to concert to listen to new songs anymore, as they got Internet, YouTube, iTunes, Spotify, etc. So it is only sensible for concerts to change it old meaning and have artists performing majorly hits in their concerts - as they (and the label) knows that performing those hits will sell more tickets - which makes more money - and more PROFIT! And we all know how business cares about profit. In the Lana Del Rey case, all of us - hardcore fans - don't count that many for the whole fanbase of LDR (yes, there are many of them only know Born to Die is one of her album - or only like Video Game). So it is easy to understand that the demand for hearing Ultraviolence songs is not enough (at least not for now) for label to make Lana performing it.

Well many bands have regularly released an EP/extension after each of their albums, which usually contains unreleased tracks and demos, because they want to share their music (e.g. The National, Coldplay's Viva la Vida: Prospekt's March) . Lana could continue to do the same thing if she wants, maybe for the same reason Paradise was born. However, we all know that being in a mainstream label like Interscope would mean that (almost) everything they care about is money so they can make her make a bundle like what The Paradise Edition was, i.e. to sell more copies of (basically) the same album. I honestly don't think that there is any problems against making a re-release like this, only if Lana has enough artistic ideas to make one, not because Interscope make her do one.
