I want Glenn Close and Gaga both to win tbh

Pretty shocked they tied at the BFCA. That really made it a bit more complicated to predict. But I think Close has SAG locked, therefore the Oscar win.

As much as I'd prefer Gaga, if I'm being completely honest (even though Glenn is one of the GOATs.)

I can't take overrated pieces of shit like A Star Is Born to take it all. 90% of the nominations are undeserving anyway.

To be honest, I want just anything. Anything surprising to happen. This year is a tremendous bore with awards contenders.

I would be down with a Suspiria nomination in Picture just on the pure basis of it being out of nowhere and stuff. Hell, a Tilda Swinton nod would be wild, and way more deserving than a couple of the sure-to-be-nominated there.

Lowkey hoping Emily Blunt's surprise SAG nod for A Quiet Place is a sign that she could get nominated. That'd be inspired, too.

I just hate when they're so predictable. lol

Suspiria was a shite remake though and is only being gassed up cos it has slow pacing and psuedo intellectual political subplots

except for it wasn’t

the whole red scene is a future iconic moment incoming and the 15 mins of romance are better than some romance lead films

i’m predicting a shitton of (undeserved) green book noms, some completely undeserved vice noms

some noms for black panther in the technical categories (which it where it shouls stay at)

predicting a gaga nom but not a win unless the academy really wants to lose what’s left of their credibility

hoping for some good noms for cold war, thx to roma it has like no chance at anything anyway but noms would be appreciated

nominate thom yorke for suspirium he got snubbed thru all of the awards season like lana for y&b, completely undeserved.

supporting actress is literally a mess about to happen can’t wait for that.. feminism really didn’t win in the end

yeah but tenor.gif?itemid=5619444

and like there a lot of movies with unrealistic scenes but if the premises are realistic... like idk it just looked like somebody was skipping through a 3 hour long movie

It's funny, because I'm usually such a snob with movies, but A Star Is Born was one of the first total Hollywood movies I thought was genuinely great in a long time.  :smokes3:

Also, when it comes to performance with a chance that more than likely won't make it, I really wish Toni Collette would get nominated for Hereditary, but I know their bias to the genre. That was one fantastic piece of acting.
