okay i have to know if anyone else is having this problem or if im just stupid
does the 'look' function not work in aod on modern controls? it seems like no matter what button i bind to it doesn't do anything but center the camera

also on a slightly related note, how the hell do i use the laser sight lmao
i can get 'look' to work on tank controls but she isnt using the laser sight

if youre talking overall (not just AOD) im using modern controls on TLR and laser sight is holding R3 (right joystick) in while the weapons are equipped. Idk if its different in AOD I haven’t gotten into that one yet. 
 

it’s crazy how little the game tells you about controls. I was struggling so hard figuring out the quirks of the modern controls but now that I have I much prefer them to tank.

yeah i meant aod specifically haha
i havent really tried modern controls in 1-5, im used to tank controls there and i like playing that way haha
but in aod the tank controls are still so bad i basically have no choice lol
but yeah i cant figure out how to make her 'look' or use the laser sight in that game, its extremely unclear lol

I’m a quarter into 4. It’s so good omg, Egypt is so spooky. I just know there comes a point where the game starts to get tedious and confusing and i dont want to stop enjoying it like i did all those years ago 😭

The last revelation is unfinished btw- the Devs came out on twitter and asked us to just play chronicles until the last revelation is patched in Alexandria+  

Same with AOD

interesting! I played thru all of Alexandria and didn’t notice anything terrible. What’s unfinished there?

Mutiple texture glitches, unfinished non 3D ladders- soft lock glitches that can stop your progress entirely during a bike section later on etc.

Tbh i probably wont touch AOD for months. I hated it back in the day, and while I’m curious to see what fixes they make - i’m in no rush.

 

I don’t mind 4 being unfinished, I’ll no doubt play it again this year anyways. I played last years remasters 3 times each 🙃

ANYWAY IV-VI are so good but i'm def waiting for a patch before doing NG+, already finished Chronicles and i'm like 85% of the way there with TR4, Giza is killing me though

I’ve finished IV&V! I’m still hesitant on AOD, I’ve never had good experiences with playing it…

AOD is the same game it always was tbh, warts and all

 

i just reached the bio-dome and the remaster is basically a conservative version of the restoration patch (which makes sense considering reborninshadow worked on both lol), and i have to say i kind of prefer the latter so far bc the additions felt more natural there...

 

since they're apparently planning on doing more with AOD in a future patch anyway (besides tidying up the unfinished visuals), i would wait for that if you're not in any rush to play it!

i am a shameless angel of darkness stan so i cant wait to get my hands on the new collection when i have a little spare cash!! being able to hear "move along ma chere, you make the place look crowded" and "i have two of the biggest doberman pinschers you have ever seen on this side of the gate" in 2025 is so exciting to me
