she will 100% skip FROOT and if she does a reissue it will be horrendous and only maybe contain true colours of all songs. She RESENTS releasing old demos for whatever reason

she liked a comment asking if the album is coming in aquarius season, so we'll have it by then. I feel like it's going to be february as she's changed the spotify canvas of the TFJ songs (also released in february, but maybe a reach) and it also gives her a bit more time as she's only finishing the production now.

either way, I'm glad the album is going to have a quick turn around, I hate the trend of releasing a single then waiting months for the next single and album. especially as marina tends to change the single artwork style in the interim too like obsessions, radioactive and man's world.

I agree, the production list she posted had 9 visible tracks but you can see there's at least one more right at the bottom, but it's only a few pixels of black, we also have 6 snippets but marina's track record with snippets isn't great

I don't mind a short album if there's no skips, but when you have 10 tracks and a few of them are duds then it ventures into EP territory. imo it feels more disappointing to have 15 tracks with 5 duds than 10 tracks with no skips.

i didn’t notice she had new canvases, they’re so nice  she just needs to add a new one for primadonna 

so excited to see what she has in stock for coachella. also gives me hope i might get to see her next year if she does more shows! constantly thinking about how she’s been to my city but would probably never come back these dayshoping i’m wrong though

Has anyone here ordered the signed Eat The World version from Rough Trade UK?

I pre-ordered mine way back in June, had to wait one month because it got stuck in customs… had to pay 17€ shipping + 17€ customs fees…. And it’s not signed……

mine was from Rough Trade, but I'm from the UK so I didn't have your customs issues and it arrived on time though shipping was still expensive, it was signed but possibly the smallest (and slightly damaged?) signature plate I've seen out of all of them (where you got it from seemed to pay a part in that, which seems unfair). it's honestly really disappointing as that's literally the only reason I (and most people, let's be real) bought it in the first place. I'm guessing they either forgot to put the sticker on yours or there was just a mix-up in the warehouse.

I hope you get your money back, I definitely won't be buying anything from them again, if I'd known she'd have signed books in waterstones I would have bought it from there, but by that time I'd already pre-ordered via the link someone had found, as I assumed they would be bought really quickly when she posted the link

Thank you for sharing your experience!! And yeah I literally thought the same thing as you, I got it from them right away as I saw the link, even before Marina shared it… so it’s not like I was the last to buy one 😭 anyways they’re all sold out now so at this point I just hope I’ll get a refund because I don’t even want to wait that long another time

Just listened to Emotional Machine again and if the whole L+F sounded like this, Believe in Love, Handmade Heaven, Soft to Be Strong, End of the Earth, it could've been a masterpiece lol. Also will never forgive Lana for not accepting the collab ffs.

Wait, she did confirm there are/were plans for FROOT's birthday next year, right? And that would be in... March. Or April if she wanted to keep it cute and pretend there was no move up because of the leak. 

 

But yeah if there's new music coming in January/February there's no way that's happening. I think she'll probably follow the same rollout from L+F and get the lead single out in February with the album coming in April along with the Coachella performance

she liked a comment asking if m6 was coming in aquarius season (as she tagged the announcement post with ‘aquarius season’) and the very latest friday that could be is Valentine’s Day (and with the heart profile picture and the quote about love in her bio might be a good contender tbh) so I don’t think it will be an issue, it’s a full month before the froot anniversary, which on the internet is an eternity. 
 

also, I don’t think we should forget her ability to ignore things, as much as I think jumping back to froot at the beginning of a new era is a bit messy, in reality she’ll announce the anniversary edition, maybe some merch, in an Instagram post and then never speak of it again.

 

I understand all the skepticism though as she announced the anniversary edition back in march and she’s not got the best track record with announcing things early or repackages  adiaml actually getting a deluxe after months of teasing absolutely shocked me

 

back to m6, I was wondering if she might do a no pre-album singles rollout like billie? it would make sense if she has a short album and a great way to stop people going into the album with a preconceived idea as sometimes her pre-album singles aren’t a great indicator of the album.

After I did this post, I also realized she teased this right after... the song anniversary, not necessarily the album..........and I can imagine maybe she'll hold until later 2025 to celebrate the album itself, even if it will be the song 11th by then. So, maybe yeah, there's hope? We did get the "Platinum Blonde" edition of Electra Heart, and even if there were no additional songs that we didn't have before, at least she "tidied up" things nicely. She did mention more Froot songs being "unfinished" for that repackage edit, so we'll see.

 

 

I'm really optimistic about the new album, but I find it hard she'd go full-in without any singles before the album because she seems to enjoy the "long road" type of roll out with world building and so on.
