It was, but last year the UV repress came out on June 13 on the "ninth anniversary" which was the first date the album was officially released somewhere (I think it was Germany).. it would be weird to call the 13th the anniversary last year, but then call the 17th the anniversary this year

 

I don't think we'll get anything, we didn't get anything for BTD or Paradise so yeah

I remember when it first leaked the very first track I listened to was Black Beauty  it was literally my last day of school as a high school freshman, this album touched me so much. I hated high school lol but looking back at the time when this album came out makes me really nostalgic for those simpler times

The best album of all time. Dan Auerbach's impact, she was on top of her game despite all the hate. An album for the history books--she cemented herself as a versatile legend. There's just something so raw, vulnerable yet grand about this album. Her mind for that.

 

That era was a short lived fever dream... 
 

Summer of 2014 lives rent free in my mind. Forever thankful for this ✨Magnum Opus.

I wish I was a bit older like some of you so I could associate summer 2014 to anything other than the eighth grade but…

 

this album is full of songs that continue to be so fresh, timeless, and relatable 10 years later. Lana is not, in my opinion, calculating - but she is articulate and extremely talented with embodying the human condition in her lyrics - and I think this album is the epitome of that. Every chord in Cruel World hits home for me, and every reverbed beat switch in West Coast is like a swell of emotions. 
 

Happy Birthday Ultraviolence, you are quintessential Lana Del Dey, and you’ve inspired entire forums in your wake ??
