Sorry but Trump is not some quirky old man wanting to win a board game and then bring peace for his grandkids. He is an evil, egomaniacal moron and could not care less about the destruction he causes. He's unhinged and surrounded by repugnant people who will work together to cause harm to the underprivileged and line their own pockets with money and power. Whether or not they will be successful, time will tell, but some people really need to wake up to the reality of the situation. When people tell you exactly who they are, believe them. Trump is without a doubt a vile piece of shit, and he is not afraid to show it. The fact that half the country chose this person to lead them is so beyond bleak and depressing, and America will be judged by the world for decades to come because of it.

there were a few progressive propositions that didn’t pass like banning forced prison labor which has been used as a loophole for slavery. The min wage here is 16$ per hour while inmates only get paid 74 cents per hour. Everyone including myself have been shocked it didn’t pass considering no one has opposed it

To me he only tried to become president just to win for the fun of it and his ego, now he can't be president again after this the game is over, the winning and being like and voted for is probably the only thing that mattered to him. He might want to impress people and calm things down and fix things so people think "he's actually not that bad". Then his family legacy for the future is fine and he is remembered better than he would have been.

When he says he wants peace and to stop the wars I think he actually does, he'd probably know that him coming in and ending Russia and Israel invading Ukraine and Palestine will be a big thing to have done. Democrats I think or even other politicians don't even talk to Russia even though they're not that bad, it's just normal people the same as everyone else and people can get along with them and then they don't do anything about Israel either, I think Democrats think they can't go against Israel because then they have no chance of winning so they let them away with more because they're stuck and need them.

 

That would be an ideal best case scenario but Trump isn't really the problem. He is an idiot who wants power, like you said. The problem is the dangerous rhetoric his supporters spew that's effectively fueled by Trump and his comrades in their desperate desires to win. Another issue I've noticed is people are getting more vile and unafraid in expressing disgusting takes both in person and online. I see you are from Scotland so you might have little know of how sick some of his supporters are. They are literally hateful and they revel in causing others misery. They're like twitter stans but in real life. It is sick.

 

Also, the Republican party is dead; they sold out because they know associating with Trump is their best ticket to winning, see: Ted Cruz here in Texas. There is no way that man would win if he were not representing the Trump party -- and those are the people who are really dangerous, not Trump, because they know what they are doing (derogatory). Stuff will be interesting this time around because they have more power. Will Republicans actually grow a spine? We'll see.

this election really opened my eyes on how cruel people actually are and how many trumpies there are (there’s WAY more than the last election and the one before that, it’s actually insane). X is infested with trump supporters who are OPENLY misogynistic, extremely racist, and very hateful toward every minority group. you guys, i have literally never seen a person post “your body, our choice” and have like 10k comments that agree with them until now… my jaw is on the floor. i also saw a trump supporter posting a video of a black woman screaming and crying over trump winning and they put monkey noises in the background  like what the actual fuck is going on? 

i’ve been saying this since before the election but we really really need to regress back a few centuries and start again because frankly this is absolutely insane
