The Right Person Will Stay - Pre-Release Thread (OUT: May 21st, 2025)

funny thing is that i tried using lanadelrey.lnk.to/ for all of the possible the right person will stay songs and titles and they showed only 404 error results but i also tried her cover of take me home country roads, like lanadelrey.lnk.to/takemehomecountryroads and it showed nothing but when i used lanadelrey.lnk.to/countryroads it showed me the song. but on spotify it is called take me home country roads but maybe the song is on the album and she changed the song's title for the album and it appears as "Country Roads" on the album?  but the title is too short for a lana song tbh

Just checked and Selena & Benny’s album comes out on March 21st, so I’m not sure she would release that day, and Selena is with Interscope too.

A lot of her songs could be given countrified arrangements, including, as someone else mentioned, Angels Forever. She has a lot of songs that lend themselves to that sort of thing, like Bel Air, American, Love Song, How to Disappear, Mariner's Apartment Complex, Tomorrow Never Came, White Dress, Yosemite, Arcadia, Violets For Roses and others. If it were done right, no one in the audience would know they weren't country or country-esque songs to begin with.

“I went back and listened to ‘Ride’ and ‘Video Games’ and thought, you know they’re kind of country,” she said. “Maybe the way ‘Video Games’ got remastered, they’re pop – but there’s something Americana about it for sure.” - Lana

I think so much of her discography is very much influenced by country and could definitely be translated into that genre

If I'm not mistaken, I think all her albums have some sort of Americana or country vibe to them. Whether it's a song off the album, or the majority of the album. Born To Die has Americana vibes sewed into its songs. Ultraviolence has underlying country rock vibes in its songs, especially since I've relistened to the album today. Honeymoon has less Americana/Country vibes to it, more jazz, trap vibes, Nancy Sinatra has Lana said, but I feel like a couple songs off the album could definitely be remastered into country songs. Lust For Life, the second half of the album has genres of country vibes in the songs. Norman Fucking Rockwell! has a couple songs where it could be taken as country. Chemtrails Over The Country is definitely a country-folk album to me, as well as Blue Banisters. DYKTTATUOB is one of the least country-esk album, since it's more experimental, but Let The Light In has that Americana vibe which why it reminds people of old Lana.

 

This being said because a lot of Lana's fans and country fans feel weirded or annoyed that Lana is going into country sounding music, when most of her discography and unreleased discography has dived into country in some sort of sub-genre. Especially, Lana said that TRPWS (back then Lasso) won't be a heavy departure from her past work. Because she too knows that Americana and country vibes are laced within all her projects. 

 

I doubt this album will sound bad. Even if you hate country, you'll probably like a few songs off the album. Every Lana album sounds good. Even if it's not your personal taste of music, you like at least one song off her albums. Even her "flop" albums, lots of people love that album. 

 

Regardless, I just need this album to come out already like let's GOOO

i know this most likely won't happen but i keep thinking imagine if the stagecoach set is just the exact same as the shows last year, dancers and all  but realistically i don't think we will get anything new i think it will be rather low key...

Cela étant dit, beaucoup de fans de Lana et de fans de country se sentent gênés ou agacés par le fait que Lana se lance dans une musique à consonance country, alors que la plupart de sa discographie et de sa discographie inédite se sont tournées vers la country dans une sorte de sous-genre. Lana a notamment déclaré que TRPWS (à l'époque Lasso) ne s'éloignerait pas beaucoup de son travail passé. Car elle sait aussi que les vibrations Americana et country sont présentes dans tous ses projets. 

 

Je ne pense pas que cet album sonne mal. Même si vous détestez la country, vous aimerez probablement quelques chansons de l'album. Tous les albums de Lana sonnent bien. Même si ce n'est pas votre goût personnel en matière de musique, vous aimez au moins une chanson de ses albums. Même ses albums « ratés », beaucoup de gens adorent cet album. 

 

Quoi qu'il en soit, j'ai juste besoin que cet album sorte déjà, genre "allons-y"
