I just don’t think there’s anything groundbreaking or interesting in what she’s singing about Maybe she thinks this is what country music is supposed to be. Idk but I think it’s all very mundane keep-to-yourself-cos-no-one-asked type subject matter “I’ll still be nice to your mum” I mean okay but who cares It’s fine though It just isn’t my type of music and that’s okay 5 Quote ur legit gonna look the same stop buying oil of Olay face cream
Sunbather Moonchaser Posted Thursday at 09:07 PM Posted Thursday at 09:07 PM I love this The lyrics are good, the melody stays in head, she sounds like an angel this really was worth waiting for almost 15 months 7 Quote

EstelsDream Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Well its out for me time to stream it so much that i get bored of the song 4 Quote Taste's like 4th of julyy...
Ultra Violet Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Posted Thursday at 09:09 PM Its pretty but I think I'd like the instrumental more I just know the chorus is gonna be a viral tiktok song soon though. It's another "when you know you know" situation but for wanna be cowboys and country housewifes Edit: I mean the pre-chorus actually 4 Quote
Escapism Posted Thursday at 09:15 PM Posted Thursday at 09:15 PM "but yesterday, i heard God say, 'you were born to be the one to hold the hand of the man who flies too close to the sun'" and that orchestral bit that comes after... 20 Quote
Make me your Dream Life Posted Thursday at 09:16 PM Posted Thursday at 09:16 PM No I already know I'm gonna love it a lot more than I already do. It's such a beautiful dawn moment to yourself moment all swooping and gently enchanting. The playful inflection towards the second part, and the twinkling yet weary production. the lyricism's just perfect and the song sounds and feels a lot clearer atmospherically It's a jewel 9 Quote

She did COCC, Blue Banisters, violets bents, I think she had her time to do what she should and wanted to do, and I don't think she needs more than that for her to find herself, she already found herself and this album is a response, we know this isnt similar to her past 5 years works so wbk 3 Quote
West Coast Posted Thursday at 09:17 PM Posted Thursday at 09:17 PM The song is fine, it's not mindblowing or anything, the best part is obviously the instrumentals. There's a bit of recency bias going on with the overwhelmingly positive response, and that's normal. Let's say that it's not her promotional single with the most oomph, but I wasn't expecting that to begin with. I don't think I'll listen to it ad nauseam before the album gets out, but looking forward to hearing it in that context. 10 Quote

rosemead ramada Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM I'm so happy to finally have new Lana buuuuuuut I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest. I hope it grows on me. Usually I listen to a new Lana song on repeat like 150x in a row but I don't think this one will get that treatment Also I can't understand like 80% of what she's even singing after the first verse... is it just me or 4 Quote
