 I’m not sure why but seeing that story made me really sad..I feel like she’s such a genuine person and she’s getting so much heat/hate lately and it makes me really sad for her. Like Facebook articles, reviewers, Twitter.. everyone is coming for her and why??

LOL aw, in all seriousness though, I think I get why you felt sad seeing it. I feel like candid little videos like this really capture who Lana is - she’s generous of spirit, eclectic, a chronicler of sorts, and you can tell she’s someone who finds joy in the little things (like a wolf snow globe!). She’s definitely one of a kind and is the rarer/gentler/more confident/genuine type of person that is hard to come by in a lifetime. It’s sad that someone with this pure of heart isn’t being seen for what she is - little moments like this just remind us of how special she is, even aside from her art. Just who she is!
 

I didn’t mean to write a paragraph about a literal 6 second video   but I totally felt the same watching it! I love her so much and it really sucks to see her being lampooned in the media.  but our girl is strong and sees through all of it <3

You don't need to take it from me cause im not gonna pretend i'm some kind of authority on the subject but it is feeling very performative to me. Being an ally means supporting and listening to the marginalized group in your everyday life. She did not give a single shit about all the women of colour who were really hurt at her QFTC. i really do  hate having to be a negative bitch on LB every time Lana does something related to the subject of politics or racial conversations but this is just how i'd see it if anyone else was acting like this

No it's true it's true! You're absolutely right and I hate how she uses the "But I have good intentions" bs as a scapegoat. And it's sad because a lot of those women looked up to her. I remember SZA used to post Lana's lyrics and expressed how hurt she was by that post. Whether it was misconstrued or not, Lana should've taken the time to clarify her comments rather than tell people who had valid concerns to go f themselves.

We're not really going to pretend that this isn't another "I'm not racist" thing, are we?

I mean it's par for the course if you continue to stan, but that's what this is. Just last week this same sis posted her album cover, ran to the comments to let everyone know how she's inclusive and not racist she is, and then more or less said in her follow-up interview that that's why she picked it.

She did the same thing after QftC posting protesters, etc. Throwback to when Kehlani yelled at her for posting their faces
