  1. This sounds familiar, I think I saw it too.
  2. I just want to kick Romney in the fucking mouth, oh my god. This almost made me cry. What a brave man, I wouldn't have been able to hold my composure hearing shit from Romney like that like he did. Ugh. Sometimes I feel like there's something wrong with me for being gay because assholes like Mitt spew this shit all over the media. Obama all the way. At least he respects people and is all for equal rights.
  3. Shhh I'm working on that. Well, I wanted to recreate my own deluxe version of BTD with unreleased songs/demos. I took a bunch of songs that to me, fit together ~ko-heesiv-lee~ and put them all on shuffle. I listen through all of them, letting some transitions just happen, and trying to piece together others in my own head. I cut off the silence in the beginning/end of some of the songs so that they flow into each other like they would in a real album. I'm especially proud of the transition from COTBR to Live or Die. It took me like a month to finish making the album, I spend a lot of time with the order of the tracklist. There's 12 standard songs, 3 bonus tracks and a remix of the most "popular" song from the album. I edited the original picture for the artwork and made it better imo. As with BTD, this album opens with the title track. I made American Dream (Damn You) the final song because it fits as one, and also because it's like the sister-song to Hollywood's Dead, so I put them on opposing sides of the tracklist. I try to have songs that make sense next to each other go next to each other. Like, National Anthem through Children of the Bad Revolution is the guitar-alternativey bit of the album, and after that chunk, it goes into the sexier-popish-to-ballads end of the album. For the bonus tracks, I tried to mimic Without You, Lolita, and Lucky Ones with the same general feel of the songs and the similarity of the lyrics. You've Dark Paradise [second Alternative Demo] which was originally on BTD anyway, so it fit well there and it's lovey like Without You, then you have Push Me Down, which is sexy and dirty like Lolita, then you have Last Girl On Earth, which is the swan song of the bonus tracks, like Lucky Ones. Blahblahblah.
  4. Hollywood's Dead Paradise Every Man Gets His Wish National Anthem (Nexus Demo) She's Not Me I Don't Wanna Go Children of the Bad Revolution Live or Die Playing Dangerous Serial Killer Backfire American Dream (Damn You) BONUS TRACKS: Dark Paradise [second Alternative Demo] Push Me Down Last Girl On Earth National Anthem (Breton LABS Remix)
  5. My box set is on its way!!! it's on its waaayyyyyyyy guys let's party to celebrate
  6. I love those three songs and I don't find them boring at all. Atmosphere and sound does it for me, and Video Games just doesn't deliver in those areas IMO. I get what you're saying though, yet I don't see anything even closely relating to AKA at all from BTD. Oy.
  7. Then why do you have Carmen as a single still when it's a part of BTD? WHY DO YOU HAVE ALBUMS WITH NO ALBUM ART?!?!1?!?
  8. Cringing at some of your music libraries.. how can you be so disorganized. I'll post mine later today! It's beautifully organized and I have all these pretty fan-albums I've made. I get so obsessive-compulsive when it comes to organizing my music. Also, lolalitahey, was your library from iTunes? I can't be fucked to go back and look because it's so disorganized I'm so lazy. I want to know though, because I'd love to have a black iTunes background.
  9. Can we please revive this thread? Come on, guys! I love seeing what everyone else listens to the most.
  10. I was in a bad mood just now, but I started thinking about the few great friends I've made on ldr.fm and here. I can't stay mad when I think of the awesome conversations I have had with some people here, and getting to see their lovely faces on skype. Thank you guys for being so wonderful to me. I love you. :) Basically, just amazing friends and conversations. Those make me very happy.
  11. I find Video Games very overrated. It's a nice song, yes, and it's very beautiful, but it's just so boring to me. Compared to the rest of the album-although I skip much of the other songs too, so that isn't saying much-it just feels like the lowest point of the album. All I really listen to from BTD anymore is Lucky Ones and BTD. "What?! HDB doesn't like Video Games?! Stone him." ready for your stones tbh
  12. I think it's up to the person that uploads the songs. I've seen bands put explicit songs on iTunes yet there was no explicit tag, many times. Maybe they didn't want anyone to shy away from BTD because it was her debut, so they didn't put explicit tags on the songs. Now that she's more famous, they don't mind as much and they're fine with letting people know there's a few bad words in the songs. I don't think iTunes actually checks to make sure unless someone complains.
  13. THANK. YOU. Regardless of whether or not Europe treats her better than America, she glorifies us all the time in her music. You don't hear her singing, "Pounds are the anthem of the sea, so before we go out, let's drink some tea" or anything like that. I mean, come on Lana.. "Like an American A-M-E-R-I-C-A, all I wanna do is play Come when you call me America I'm your national anthem And you salute me, Miss America, because I am" etc. etc. etc. Anyway, she better fucking come to Florida. I will walk 500 miles, and I will walk 500 more... I mean, what? I'd walk hours to see her. Stop complaining about a 3 hour drive. Have U.S. dates been posted yet? I can't see the tumblr links from my school's wifi. I want to see her so bad.
  14. When it's a beautiful day outside.
  15. Omg your name is just as cute as your face. I can't. HelloooOOoOoo, we can take this to a PM if ya want.
  16. One more step into the mind of Monicker. I know I spew out so much hate for Jump, but I actually really love the NKF/demo/whatever version. It's a great song, I just feel like the album treatment ruined it. The album version tries too hard, while the first version is so effortless and flawless. I can't be fucked to make a legitimate list order-organized right now, but I'd have to say my top five are Yayo, Smarty, Mermaid Motel, Gramma, For K Part 2.
  17. Kill Kill 19 Queen Of The Gas Station 17 Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven) 21 For K Part 2 26 Jump 5 - Mermaid Motel 21 Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) 13 Brite Lites 11 Put Me In A Movie 16 Smarty 26 + Yayo 20 This is my 500th post! Woo.
