Yet you've still kept the unofficial title Puppy Love?

I don't care what the official title may be; if I like it one way it must be done that way. I wouldn't listen to AKA if I didn't have it titled Nevada. Same goes for PS(GW), that's such a stupid, shitty, ugly title. Teenage Wasteland is far superior.

I also have Every Man Gets His Wish titled as 1949 because it's a better title, and although no one acknowledged it, the original file was titled as Every Man Gets His Wish (1949).

Of course, go back to that store and make a fucking mess! the album is missing tracks, if you complain [like others will] you'll get what you want.

Uh oh, faulty discs alert. Go back to WorstBuy and ask for a refund, then get it from elsewhere.

My ex wanted to do food sex stuff once so I was like "okay yeah I can do that" and we got all the standard products, whipped cream, honey etc but then i just got really hungry so we ordered pizza instead.

I don't know if you're joking or not, but this line of thinking is absurd. What belongs on your dick, chemicals from some product sitting on the shelf at CVS? Everything applied topically gets into the blood stream. Your skin is the quickest, easiest, most efficient path to your bloodstream. There's a rule of thumb in some health circles that says: if you wouldn't put it in your mouth and ingest it, don't use it on your skin. You should be able to EAT anything you're putting on your skin because it all ends up in the same place anyway. You think what you put on your skin just stays there on the surface? You'd rather have weird chemicals and god know's what--stuff you don't recognize when you read the label or have never even heard of--leaching into your bloodstream than...coconut oil, pure 100% organic, raw coconut oil, just the oil that comes from coconuts and nothing more? You'd rather put the toxins that are in shit like commercial lubes, sunscreen, moisturizers, chapstick, makeup, etc. into your body and bloodstream than simple, natural things that are sitting in your kitchen that you eat everyday? Oh yeah, how gross...

I don't have stories to share, but god, I'd love it if one day a guy poured chocolate syrup on me (you know the places ) and licked it off. Honey, too. Whipped cream.. Akbshdlahshsatagshjdlsksdh.

I completely agree with this! They are simple lyrics, but they feel so personal. I love them.

I get that from a more literary stand point that the lyrics aren't particularly eloquent but like with a lot of spoken word poetry, it has a lot to do with delivery. Like in Cola "I pledge allegiance to to Dad, for teaching me everything he knows" I choked up really hard. And you know it probably has a lot to do with the fact I come from a family of women with insane daddy issues but at the same time maybe not. Also in American "Springsteen is the king don't you think? I was like, "hell yeah that guy can sing."" That just sounds like a conversation I would have to be honest. The lyrics are very casual and in that sense I find them very intimate. But then again this could just be me projecting all over the place.

Another Lana-related confession: I do not miss lanadelrey.fm, and I think this forum is better than LDR.FM could ever be.

When you create a forum with the intent of share unreleased material, it really stunts the growth of the site/community. Instead of discussion, you had pages upon pages of people saying, "Thank you!!" "Thanks for uploading this!" "I LOVE YOU"

There were people begging/hinting for tracks to leak; becoming more and more entitled. When CG was absent from the forum, I felt more people wanted her back because of the "dry spell" of leaks, rather than genuinely missing a friend. That really bothered me.

I also felt this odd power dynamic between administrators and regular forum members and I'm not quite too sure how to describe it. I may be the only one that felt this. It may be partially attributed to the fact they had a lot of unreleased material that none of us had, and it unintentionally coloured the dynamic between the two "groups" of members. As lovely, generous, accommodating, and good-natured as the admins were (or one of them, rather), I never quite felt as though they fit in; there was some odd sort of hierarchy, some sort of unattainability, like "us" and "them". I don't know. Was I the only one that felt this way?

I think part of the unattainability stems from the fact that from the beginning, the Moderating Team there (idk why I always capitalize it, probably to feel important ) was set in stone, whereas here, members need to exhibit some sort of moderator-esque qualities and a willingness for the job for advancement. Essentially, the Moderating Team you have before you here comes directly from your community, and you are free to give your approval/disapproval of those nominating themselves. It could be you on that team if you wanted. Nothing like this was ever exhibited at LDR.fm, people you didn't really know (at least, at first) were running your community and you didn't really have a choice. It was odd, at least to me.

Did anything I write make any sense? Does anyone agree/relate to it? I swear, I'm not crazy.

I'm actually really beginning to love the new version of Yayo. It's not as good as the original, but I don't think people are giving it a chance simply because it's been done before and they love the first version. I don't think that should cloud people's judgement, though, because regardless of whether or not you like this new version, you can still listen to the AKA one. It irritates me when i see people say something like, "Oh, I hate this one, the AKA version is so much better and she just ruined the song." You have to realize it's its own song, too. Stop comparing it with the other versions, that will only make you dislike it. When I first listened to it, I was so disappointed because the echoing/repeating "dark night" wasn't there in the bridge, but the more I've listened to it, I've come to appreciate it for what it is; its own song. I even took the one problem I initially had with it and turned it into a positive, and what do you know? It's now my favorite part of the song. That moment in the bridge is just as powerful as the AKA version for me, although with different reason. I love how instead of repeating/echoing "dark night," she's just quiet, and then you hear her breathing and I really love that. It's so eerie. The final chorus picks up after that and it's so haunting, I love it. I understand if people don't like it in general, but don't dislike it just because it's not as good as the AKA version, that's stupid.

+1 - I've listened to it a good, like 35 times already. I don't find it skippable. I usually attach myself to one version of a given Lana song (Lolita and Diet MTN Dew are good examples), but "Yayo" is special--AKA is beautiful, Paradise is haunting, heavy metal is essential, and I even started this thread by saying NKF is my favorite version. It's just a strong song no matter what.

Neither am I, really. It took me like 2 weeks to watch Ride, and that's the only time I watched it. It's a nice video, but music videos bore me to death. The only reason I seek out music videos when I do is so I can screenshot a nice desktop background out of them.

To be honest, I don't even watch her videos anymore.
Not that I watch Lana's either...I guess I'm just not a video person.

Aw. To each his/her own, I suppose.
To be specific, I'm a Lizzy Grant fan. But yes, Lana does have her moments.

Thank you, Namira, for having such similar views to myself. :3

    This makes me mad.

Florence and Lana are both great, but in my opinion, Florence is more the artist than Lana ever will be. Her songwriting, appearance, and even her shows are just better than Lana's.

At the same time, it's really not appropriate to compare them. They're worlds apart.

And if you're trying to contrast your own reaction to that of the apparently seething Flo fan base, this is certainly not a good way to set the example:
