we exist in a time of overactivism and underaction. with the rise of social media now more than ever we have access to the fastest and most unbias WORLD news. This makes everyone want to solve everything, especially when they exist in a state of privelage/observation, like many people in first world countries. It also makes pretending to care so much easier for everyone. Once you have the proof that you supported said cause because you posted it on said day, its easier to not think about again. I think performative activism especially on platforms like instagram and twitter are perpetually more harmful than just staying silent tbh

so, apparently, the band will be taking a(nother) hiatus until further notice. They canceled the tour dates they had scheduled for this year (which were rescheduled 3 whole years ago, so extra sad for anyone who has been looking forward to this). No specific reasons have been cited yet, which makes this even more painful. Chip Chrome was just beginning to flourish as a concept and they couldve taken the idea so far. I believe Jessie will still be releasing solo material but tbh ive always just cared about the band. sad, sad day!

ive felt this for months. im not claiming to be an oracle or anything credible. but ive been having surreal ass dreams and epiphanies about a third world war. Taiwan/China , Nk/Sk, Israel/Palestine, and Ukraine/Russia all give me this feeling of “seizing the moment”. I thought it would begin February 11th but that ended up being another significant moment for me on a different subject. Idk when, but its cooking, and it makes me so fearful. America is already well on its way to another recession (like the fifth one in the last three years haha) ATP america feels like such an obsolete force in the world that theres no way they can “playground para” their way through this.
