yeah now she's on Father John Misty day's level aka no one has ever heard of them.

I'm okay with the song, roar was a weak lead single but I'm sure we're gonna get some witness type of songs on the album especially since the lead sounds more mature than roar.

out of all the worst case scenarios this is probably the least likely to happen.

It would be even more refreshing if she ditched the bad "california themed" music though

Oh i thought u mean "the label had so much to say about the record" as in the label tried to force some sound on her. Personally i don't think the instrumentals on BTD sound the same. Yes they all follow a general mood that the album goes for but i think all of Lana's records do that and i really like the idea of Lana doing this every time she puts out a new record. You have the hip hop beats and orchestration that are present all through btd but there's so much variety within some songs itself that the record doesn't seem monotone. I love how Lana changing up her singing style corresponds to the instrumentals and vice versa. The record really feels alive (and it's still breathing).

I think the label let her do her thing with HM because UV kinda worked (even though she bullshi*** her way through the era). Seeing as her label had 15 people in mind they wanted Lana to work with i can see her having more people on board for LDR5, not only because the label wants her to though. I don't think Lana would release a record she didn't want to do, she always described how she wanted to go for the orchestral american beauty soundtrack aesthetic with BTD and was pretty proud to achieve that, so it's definitely not that BTD was forced onto her or smth (especially when she already went into the direction with some of her demos around 2010-2011). Her label wanting to have a say in her records is pretty standard for any musician under a major label and that's good because it can prevent the artists from having no idea how to handle their career.

ah yeah the lana del rey "pop hit" that was Born To Die, a total sellout album, no creativity, a fake, a scam, she didn't even sing on most of the songs her daddy bought her ghost vocalists. There's been a lot of negative reactions when UV songs premiered so i really don't think the reactions from her team/label were much different to those of her fans.

yeah i'm sure prices vary according to region but it's definitely not that much. I remember the Electra Heart box set being more expensive than the Paradise one. Resellers on ebay are ruthless though because they saw that some people were willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for the paradise box set so they went with for UV as well.
-
what? the paradise box set was 30€ from her online store and ultraviolence was £36. i just checked my emails to make sure to get the price right. the honeymoon box set was 45€ (currently on sale for 36€) and it's the most expensive one so far.

Yeah and the HBTB release was a mess so they should have learned from that. The Set Date for new Releases is Friday it shouldn't be that hard for lana's team not to sabotage their own projects.

okay i know opinions are different but how does hm sound more clear? MDM had obvious strong effects on her voice but the rest sounds crispy clear it's always so nice to listen to her voice with good equalising, compression and dehisser. However HM is full of excessive overdrive, the compression and dehisser are done so badly (0:04 MTWBT always comes to my mind) the vocal production just isn't good from a technical point of view. Reverb and other effects do no harm if they're used as effects and not the default vocal mastering of the record. throwback tuesday to the meltdowns when we heard cola. everytime i listen to the song i remember that someone on here said how it's sounds as if she's recorded it in her bathroom.
-
btd's production missed some points here and there (radio, lolita..) but it's not as if they did a great job on hm. that lq filter on her vocals on half of the songs just adds to the receptiveness of the instrumentals and lyrics. additionally the whole record sounds so "muddy" and not clear when i read that lana (an amateur at mixing) was involved in the mixing i wasn't surprised at all. which doesn't mean there's no good moments on hm but the dull lq production and repetitive feel is kind of a turn off to listen to hm.

I feel like the same performance would have been 1000 times better if she had a different wig and better costumes, i like the one she had during bad romance but the first one kinda looked like a space version of the beyonce vma medley 2014. the wig was tragic

I don't get the deluxe tracks hate, Lana didn't say anything about the BTD or Paradise ones (except for that she wanted without you as the closer on the standard edition), she just talked about the UV one (once??). She even performed her BTD tracks and burning desire so i see no reason to hate on additional tracks. If you personally dislike the bonus tracks that's okay you still have 12 other songs to enjoy and you're not forced to listen to them. None of her Bonus Tracks were disappointing to me so i'd really love to see some on ldr5 (i don't really care about the remixes on the us editions though. i think these are pretty pointless). I remember loving the facial expression in the paradise trailer i loved it even though nothing was happening and it was reused footage. I don't want any reused footage for ldr5 though. It was so pointless to use the same footage for two music videos especially since Freak had awful colour correction compared to the beautiful blue in mtwbt.

this song is cute but it would have been soo much better if she hired a different producer the beat is so annoying
-
i don't like how her label is trying to make her part of the new "pop girls" (zara, dua..) they should have sticked to the alternate pop bops. she's pulling a charli xcx before her actual debut

Wasn't it confirmed that the leaks came from something related to universal? That's why eclipse only has two songs and not the whole album (because universal isn't involved in the whole project). Eclipse also doesn't have any unlimited access(where did that came from?) he didn't even know the name of the album till Lana spoke to him. This is not the first and won't be the last leak that's due to postponing finished projects that already had to make its way through all kinds of hands just to get finished (and they even shot and finished a video for yail months ago so that one had to go through even more production... the more people work on something the bigger the chance of a leak.)
