im watching the medulla documentary ( "The Inner or Deep Part of an Animal or Plant Structure" ) and i kinda cant stop laughing at the special vocals like they work so well in context of the album but hearing them isolated is sometimes really funny

ngl it was my least favorite on first listen but i already played it about 15 times more than any other song off the mixtape, for some reason i just really like the basic chorus? its fun trying to say i got it that many times for whatever reason

if that happened i think id die instantly i love her self titled ep if it isnt someone named alice then thats a weird naming convention / also no ones talking about the time signatures. its odd that she'd do 5/4 and 4/4. id expect 3/4 or 6/8, even 9/8 or 12/8 over 5/4 as an alternate time signature. wonder how this sounds tbh just because the only time ive seen a 5/4 feel natural is bjorks atom dance or some 3-2 coupling rhythms in classical music.

oh yeah i forgot to mention it and i dont know if anyone noticed, but allie posted a short video of her working on a song (end edit: instagram story). it didnt have audio, but it had a lot of time signature changes and i noticed there seemed a track called "alice"? but the picture was moving around so much i dont know if i read it right. ill post pictures in a quick moment theyre screenshots of her instagram story
