I believe that monkey is a racist insult, but context should also be taken into account. If people grow up their whole lives thinking that it's just an insult for anyone regardless of race then they obviously don't have racist intentions. Things are different in different places. You're right though about us needing to drop this and talk about what we're actually here for.

As someone who actually lives in the UK, we use 'monkey' as a light hearted insult. Example: If a guy is doing a dance and they fuck up, then one of their friends will say "you're such a monkey". Also we use "muppet", "twat" etc.
From personal experience, I've never heard anyone in the UK use the word 'monkey' as a racial term.

I know that this is kind of late, but it's better to educate people on their mistakes rather than attacking them for being problematic.

On the note of tour thoughts, I really do think Lana will finally change her setlist for this next tour & include a lot of songs from LFL. I forget which one, but she mentioned in an interview that she really wanted songs on this record that she felt that she could sing for years. Also, I remember one of her managers 'liking' an instagram comment about how Lana needed to change her setlist. She seems excited for it too, as she's continued to mention an upcoming "show of her own" at her recent performances as well as what she said in her most recent instagram comment.
