Crash’s concept was messy, I see your point but it’s hard to link the two as Marina was much more thorough with her portraying examples of women idolised by society but also demeaned for the very traits that are idolised-e.g.The teen idol being celebrated for her provocative behaviour but also being shamed as a whore. I see where it can be confusing but I think the album speaks for itself. Charli just made a decent pop record with a great aesthetic and some posts about labels+the devil-the two are totally different. on the other hand I can see why some would hate Electra heart sonically.

Those demos don’t prove anything-no offence but this is just what 111 said before and there’s no evidence to it unless you all know her. mutiple people struggle to do melodies after lyrics or to sing a good vocal tone for their songs and so they work with melodists who do vocal demos for them. It’s easier to copy this after you hear their demo. it doesn’t mean she didn’t write the whole thing-she could of even done the melodies but asked them to expand on it.

Please name these said artists for research purposes also of course Charlis primary love is pop but she’s even stated she combines it with heavy elements of other stuff like when she was massively inspired by punk rock via the vibrators, the hives , Goth music like Siouxsie, The Cure etc it’s not out of the realm of possibility for her to go hip hop with pop being incorporated.

We need charli to innovate the hip hop scene next-hip hop hasn’t evolved since cloud rap, trap and emo hop recently. Kanye is debatable to this I guess but is still more experimental than pushing hip hop into new realms.
