She definitely can do better than everything she’s released so far-lyrically, production wise-even vocally. I think Ultraviolence would be hard to top but lyrically she can push further and do better than that.

I don’t see what people mean about text book having avant garde elements? Fiona apple isn’t even particularly experimental or avant garde tbh. massive attack, Sophie and tons of other artists trump her in that regard-she’s mostly a jazz influenced piano player with some other influences.

I think she should have gained success-but moved out of LA immediately back to somewhere more remote in England except when making albums-I don’t want to blame her but she’s not giving her privacy any help by living there. It’s a lot easier here in certain places-Robert smith has no issues.
