Well... it sure is a ~club~ remix album, huh? I'm just glad the Mark Ronson Remix of Physical is a serve, Gwen sounds amazing. I also quite like the Horse Meat Disco Remix of Love Again, but overall I'm not too impressed so far.

Those of you who follow the likes of Slayyyter and Ayesha Erotica will already be familiar with That Kid, but I think the Hyperpop king deserves his own thread! Following his debut single "Dial Tone" (feat. I got my In A Dream CD today and it's such a beautifully put together package! Everything is housed in a thick slipcase, there's art cards for every individual song, then there's the actual booklet/fold-out poster, a sticker with his logo on it... And there's even a hidden track, it's a studio recording from when they wrote Easy. Really nice to see some thought being put in a CD release for a change, and not just "a cheap version of the vinyl".

The album versions of Freak and God Knows I Tried are awful, I find them almost unlistenable. I'm so glad the much superior demos leaked.

I want to rearrange the tracklist a bit so the first two singles aren't the first two songs (what a Lust For Life throwback!), but I'm not quite sure how since I really like Take Yourself Home as the opener, and In A Dream as the closing track. Maybe just put Easy between Stud and Rager Teenager? Hmm...

Bit surprised there aren't any more "real" collabs, especially a Kylie one, but whatever, I love this project regardless, and this Little Gwenster is LIVING in a way I haven't since 2016. And to think that after this, we still have the deluxe edition to look forward to... I don't know a better woman, I really don't!

Apparently the artists in italics that don't have "feat." next to them indicate samples rather than newly recorded collabs. For example, the first Hallucinate remix seems to sample Hollaback Girl!

I absolutely loved Blue Neighbourhood and (despite its shortcomings) Bloom, but considering the extremely positive reactions I've seen and read so far, I am incredibly excited for In A Dream. I'll be at work until after 10 pm, then it'll be around 11 pm when I'm home... How the hell am I going to make that last hour to midnight pass as quickly as possible?

I was just listening to Push Push Push again and realised that it flows amazingly well with Malibu! The both have the same kind of energy and mood to them, so I would love for her to finish/polish it and put it on the album alongside Malibu. It's such a great bop, it deserves an official release!

I will NEVER be over this. What a song!
