Nah, it's because EH is better. Fear is slightly better than the Love half, but still rather disappointing. Don't get me wrong, this would a serviceable pop album by an average pop girl, but it definitely doesn't live up to Marina's usual standard. It just lacks the charm, wit, and well, brilliance in both writing and production that her past works had. This is just... okay.

I think it's because both Zara herself and her Swedish label TEN wanted to push DWBM, but her American/international label Epic wasn't behind it (they always find a way to mess things up) and wanted to promote Wow instead, which is why DWBM was basically demoted to a promo single and Wow was released as the proper second single now.

Facts only!

Because she's literally the Queen of Pop, has created an amazing legacy so far (with some duds, as every artist), literally paved the way for all of today's (especially female) pop stars, many of which have clearly been inspired and influenced by her... As long as she enjoys doing it and people keep buying her albums, and as long as she keeps breaking records with her tours – why should she stop?

Video is out! Madonna licking Maluma's foot is a power move! I also love the banquet scenes, and the final shots with the two of them riding into the sunset look fantastic too.

I only got similarity levels of around 30 % max, but apparently I look like Liam Payne (hi daddy), Zachary Levi (who?), Brenton Thwaites (who? x2, but also hi daddy x2), and Timothée Chalamet. I don't really see the similarity, especially with Lil Timmy Tim, but hey, he's gorgeous, so I'm beyond flattered!

I don't think it would make much of a difference whether the next single is called "lead single" or not. Whatever song she releases will probably premiere on BBC Radio 1 or Beats 1, it'll get a cheap video like MAC and VB, and if we're lucky, she'll perform it live a few times; and she's definitely not gonna do any promo beyond that. So honestly, at this point we might as well consider MAC and VB the lead singles.

Charity released a new EP called Breech today! A soothing voice, melancholic lyrics, and an ambient production. She described the project as "a bridge to beginning a journey of finding myself that may never end" and said that it is "honest from my heart & burns in the loveliest way". You can just tell that she finished the songs and she suddenly came up with this weird love/fear "concept" and added it post production, even though it's unnecessary and not put into practice in a logical way (as you said, most of the songs would "fit" both sides – or neither, because it's just not as black and white as she seems to think). Ouch, that tea was piping hot, I think I've burned my tongue!

The fact that since Mariners Apartment Complex and Venice Bitch came out: Sky Ferreira released new music (!) Kevin Abstract recorded a whole album inspired by Venice Bitch with Jack Antonoff (!!) Beyoncé put Lemonade on Spotify (!!!) And yet there's no sign of NFR...

Except Marina's new ~i'M a PsYcHoLoGiSt NoW~ music basically sounds like she's doing anything she can to be seen as a parody of herself. I hate Lana's messiness as much as the next gay, but if I had to choose, I'd rather have a bad rollout and know we'll end up with brilliant tracks like MAC and VB than get something like Marina's half-assed introductory psychology project.
