So Doin Time was the Grease inspired video???!!? SO, is that it? We're done with videos?

So, is Doin' Time going to pop radio? Or are they just playing it because she's in the studio? Will she announce the music video? Is it even a thing? So many questions I have!

What is the last minute of Cinnamon? I heard it's just beats or something?

I know - agreed. But that's sort of my point. In the bubble of Lana fans it's old, but some of my friends that know her, but aren't stans have just been hearing it.

Maybe they are sending it now? Not sure... I know friends of mine who aren't Lana fans have mentioned hearing it and liking "her new song" (even though I came out in May). Maybe they didn't expect it to go to #1 on Alt radio?

It takes awhile between editing, color correcting, approvals for video, so I imagine this will be not the Grease-inspired one she shot. I'm praying I'm right, so we have another video to look forward to.

I actually like Doin' Time... I think it's nice to have a little bop on the album, but I get why people are sort of whatever about it. I feel DT is actually a label ploy for the more mainstream audience, but whatever. I hope the Doin' Time video is different from the one she just shot a few weeks ago. I want another video to look forward to and for something like CINNAMON GIRL!!

Why did they change FIILY? So, I pre-ordered the album, so the one that downloaded automatically, will that stay the same? Or is there a single version I need to buy? Sorry I'm really dumb when it comes to this stuff.

I hope she's nominated for a Grammy. I also don't think Taylor would be competition because they would realistically not be in the same categories, unless her label puts her in for pop vocal. It should be alternative album. Fingers crossed!

just curious, why are people so sure the numbers for NFR will be bad? I know Taylor launches this week, but the quality of these songs are beyond. Not just for Lana stans, but I see many of them having mainstream appeal to people who like Lana, but maybe don't listen to her all the time. I'm being idealistic, but we really don't know yet. This album is very anticipated.

What makes it so hard to be a Lana stan, is you can't trust her. She throws out dates and then doesn't stick to them. I understand things happen, but then just say why it's not happening. Not stay silent. In a previous post, I mentioned that maybe they got spooked by Taylor, but they've known the album was coming out 8/23. And you don't have to be a strategist in the music industry to know Taylor would put out another single a WEEK before the album. I just don't get it. They held up two cool singles for no reason and they ultimately (and not surprisingly) got leaked anyway. I adore Lana, but in a weird way, she sort of had this coming.

Just heard FIILY now too. It's really cute and makes sense as a lead single. Will never get radio play b/c, well, she says fuck. But it has that kind of potential. Cute song with a catchy chorus. Interesting how this sounds so different than some of these piano ballads and yet they all seem like they could be from the same album. A shame it rolled out this way.

I have listened to either song yet, but dying to listen hearing everyone's reactions. I'm wondering if they got spooked b/c of Taylor releasing a single today, but I listened to Lover and it's ehhhh ok. I think she. would have been ok releasing. There's no way she can push the album back. There's too much happening including a tour. I don't get what they are doing.

Just noticed that on Lana's Apple Music profile, they show the top songs people listen to and Doin' Time is rising! It's showing up as her fifth most played song right now. Did it ever get sent to pop radio? Or maybe the streams are coming from an Apple Summer Playlist?

Yeah it is. Totally bummed US doesn't have a pre-sale. It's going to be a crazy to get tickets to that show.

I don't know why. But I get BTD vibes from this. And what I mean by that is Lana has a "Im sad, but I might also cut you" vibe to her. I lost that a bit with the past few album covers and this brings back that bad-ass-ness. "I won't not fuck u the fuck up"

The cover is amazing. Whether you hate it or love it, it's so distinct and memorable. She hasn't had a cover like this since BTD and Paradise. LFL is literally her worst cover ever. And I'm thrilled with the tracklist. Feels like it will have some bops, but also some introspective songs. Amazing. So excited!

Now, she's fucking with us for sure.

She first mentioned this album almost a year ago. We know nothing about this album. I mean, you have to hand it to her.
