I don't think the album is scrapped. I think they are planning a release for a Friday where there is less competition. At the end of the day, Interscope wants to make $$ and all of her albums have scored #2 or #1 spots on Billboard and I think they still want that. Between Miley, Katy, upcoming Madonna album, Taylor - there is a lot happening and I think they are trying to find the right time. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except Lana teases music as if it's coming out right now and then it's months and months and months later.

It's so hard to believe anything she says. She said Honeymoon was similar sound to BTD/P and it's totally different. She also talked a ton about songs on LFL that never made it (i.e. Yosemite) and even said it had a bigger sound (sorta true, but not really). Net net: You can't trust her to describe her own material.

A lot of artists do covers and make them singles. It's happened before. I will always love you by Whitney is a cover of a Dolly Parton. I drove all night by Celine Dion is a cover of Cyndi Lauper. So, many artists have released covers as singles.

Can someone explain what it means that she's being sent to radio? Were her other songs not? I always assumed they were but radio just didn't play them lol. Have any of her other songs been sent to radio?

Doin' Time could be what we call Cinnamon or In Your Car? It doesn't feel like it would have that sound, but ya never know. If it were Cinnamon that would be amazingggggg. Because I want it now.

I think we'll definitely hear something, get something in May. Think realistically here. Interscope released a statement that said the album would be mid-year (which would be summer). A single in May would make sense. I get her label supports her, and she has a strong fanbase, but she's not Taylor or Nicki who could sit on a album and not face backlash because they make too much money/are too valuable to the label. Also, that V magazine cover will be released soon enough. Has it dawned on anyone that maybe she does have a plan in place and just isn't saying? She's had every leak known to man and people are still shocked that she's being vague.

While I would love the record (and believe it could be great), I've made peace with it that we're not getting it. So, yes I'm disappointed, but everyone bitching about her, her management, her label, etc. won't change anything. Just time to move on. But there is a ton of great music out there.

I'm usually pretty patient on here. But I have to say...we're in April - when the F**K are they going to announce the album? She released buzz tracks. There was a press release saying mid 2019 She's teased snippets. It's time for a lead single and an album date! I really thought she would release in June, but that sort of means a single would need to drop this month and we haven't heard anything!!

Ya'll make me laugh talking all this shit about Lana (she doesn't care, she hasn't said anything, blah blah blah). Lana never once said that the album was coming out 3/29. NEVER. NOT ONCE. Her manager confirmed it wasn't and said be patient. And what is everyone's response on LB? "HOW DARE SHE NOT RELEASE IT ON THE DAY SHE NEVER CONFIRMED!!! I'M UNSTANNING!" Like grow the eff up. Most of you are nice on here, but there are some of you who must have absolutely no life that you're that desperate for the album. And stop talking like you'll ever unstan b/c you won't. None of us will. It will come. Enjoy the anticipation. And stop trashing her for not doing things on your schedules.

Likely won't happen, but did anyone think 3/29 is when she may release the lead single? it's highly unlikely considering she usually does some promo for a few days before, but I'm just wondering. Late March single would mean a late-May release.

I know everyone is nervous about when the album will be released but rest assured it will. 1) she confirmed when MAC and VB were released that she had the album coming 2) it's been in every music and lifestyle magazine on a list of anticipated records 3) Ben confirmed it would, but that good music takes time 4) she posted a week or so again she was working with Steven Klein on a cover (whether she meant magazine or album...I'm not sure). We need patience. To be honest, I never thought she would release in March. She usually likes releasing over the summer give or take. I have a strange feeling this record will be big for her, whether she wants the attention or not. From the snippets to the general hype to people's opinions having changed about her over time, I think we're going to get something BIG.

I don't see anything. I think this is a joke.

I get the paranoia b/c Lana is such a loose cannon, but I do think Cinnamon will be on the album. She has teased it quite a bit, and as someone said earlier, most of the music she teases as been on the album, except for RBFY which she also said was a scrapped track. I also think NFR will have, not bangers per se, but more upbeat and interesting songs, like Cinnamon. I don't need a Katy Perry banger from her, that's not why people like her (not just us mainstream too). I'm looking for songs with interesting melodies, which is where I'm hoping this album goes. I hate saying it, but I'm thinking of a Lorde "Melodrama" song, which had no bangers (except for Green Light).

It still says march in one of the articles I read --- how can that be true without any info? Is she just going to drop it? Also, she tends to release records around summer - either just before, during, or just after.

Cinnamon is def more mood - but a banger for her. I think she means banger as in she's not putting out Thank You, Next. But she's never been like that. She doesn't really have any bangers except maybe for a few on BTD. This sounds consistent with what we know of her - so I'm okay. I just wish we would promote more or do ONE TV performance. I thought she might b/c of the Apple Keynote Address, but maybe not. What is odd is that in some ways, in terms of viewership, that's probably larger than an SNL appearance.

It's probably real. Lana usually like releasing albums in the summer. We're probably luck if it's May at this point.

I'm trying to think about when we might get the lead single. WC was in mid-April with UV coming out in mid-June (2 month) HBTB was in early August with HM coming out in min-Sept (6 weeks) Love was in mid-Feb with LFL coming out in mid-July (5 months - but it leaked so they released it early). I predict we won't get a lead single until March with album out in May. At least we have Gucci to look forward to over the next few weeks. Bravo runs a lot of Gucci TV ads, so will be fun to see her on TV more often.

Are we sure that's the video? B/c they already used that footage for Venice Bitch and MAC, I don't see how they can extend it for a third music video. We're sure HIAB is the lead single? Or that it's not something else?

Silly to even ask... but does anyone think we'll get a TV performance (late night show or SNL)? I'm only asking b/c Apple Keynote was a big event - granted online - but lots of people were watching.

Just random thoughts I have: 1) Shocked at how HIADT is still in top 25 on iTunes. She usually gets pretty high but drops quickly and this one is still hanging on. I sort of ragged on it, but knowing now it's just a fan single and having listened, it's gorgeous. There is a universal theme there that I think lots of people identify with. 2) I think the MGK/Lana collar is for his album - not hers. So everyone afraid of rap features (I was not, but I'm probably in the minority) can probably be rest assured. 3) Can't say why - but I'm not sure HIAB is the lead single. I'd be ok if it was, but it feels too uneventful if it were. At the end of the day, she's still a mainstream artist at a bigger label and this is a business. So I don't know... 4) This album is starting to feel very special. I know people compare to UV, but I am feeling a lot of Paradise EP too. Just in terms of the quality of songs. 5) I'm not feeling the stripped back look - BUT we have all the Gucci work coming out (this week maybe?) which helps to remind us of how GLAM she can be (a la BTD, Paradise).

What does it matter if they are on the album or not? Why are people freaking out about that? They are avail to download, they've been released, they've gotten press. It's not like Serial Killer where we have to play it on Youtube :/

I'm so confused. There are two things it could be: 1) HIAB is now renamed Norman Fucking Rockwell - which I don't believe. 2) HIAB is the lead single from Norman Fucking Rockwell - which I also don't believe (b/c she put out a snippet almost a year ago - why make that the lead single) Although HIAB feels older to this small community - but to the general public, no one has ever heard it. So, actually HIAB could very well be the lead single. And yet...Cinnamon and this In Your Car song are far superior. But LDR has a history of not choosing the best songs as singles. I think artists are too close to their work and need someone to say "No, this is it"
