  1. I co-signed this.

My problem with Ultraviolence is that Cruel World, Sad Girl, Money Power Glory, Fucked My Way up to the top kinda merge into a dirge for me (sometimes Pretty When You Cry as well) + Guns and Roses and The Other Woman are both very meh (to me). Ultraviolence, Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, West Coast, Old Money, Black Beauty and Florida Kilos are all fantastic, which is why I'm not the biggest Ultraviolence fan despite my 7 standout tracks.

My interest in Ultraviolence is very up and down. Sometimes I really enjoy the 5  (Cruel World, Sad Girl, Money Power Glory, Fucked My Way up to the top and Pretty When You Cry) but often I really don't. Thus Ultraviolence moves around in my ranking - it's always below Honeymoon and NFR but sometimes I like it better than BTD, sometimes I don't.

  2. all i wanna say is that Jack ruined NFR for me. I HATE THIS GUY.

i tried to listen to the whole thing, like 3 or 4 times, and it's always the same things that bother me, things that actually could've been removed in a blink of an eye, which is even more annoying. i get that this is Lana's vision but dude you're a producer.... you're supposed to like, you know.. produce..? if you see any minor issue, like white noise or literally awful digital instruments, aren't you supposed to... speak up?

also, believe it or not...... the fact that Jack produced her album.... is what made NFR look so good to Grammies, Pitchfork, & Co..!! these mfs payed her dust and TRASHED her throughout her WHOLE career, and suddenly.. cuz :

    - they rate NFR 9.0 (which clearly do NOT deserve such a high rate considering how awful the production is and how the work is half assed done),

    - they call NFR album of the year

    - and out of the blue say Lana paved the way for so many artists of the decade...

y'all care? y'all keep Jared-ing us with those "no!! 1! NFR is her best album cuz critics said so!!¡1".. it's not cool..

don't be that delusional......we all know that if Jack didn't produce NFR, sure, she maybe would've gotten nominated..

but she would've gotten SNUBBED! like every year!! LMAO, and NFR's rate wouldn't be better than 7, or 7.5 at last! (+ the album would've been 100% better if Beef Stroganoff didn't ruin it which just shows how stupid and full of SHIT critics are :hooker:)

please be better than this. i don't think it's fair to suddenly suck their ding dongs when they've been so cruel to Lana for such a long time... :creep:

Or I dunno maybe the critics just enjoyed the album as much as some of us here did?

Yeah its annoying Lana didn't get the critical acclaim for albums like Honeymoon when she obviously should have but thats the past. I'm just glad she's getting it for this album.

  3. Wow been a while since I checked this thread and the endless hate continues.

Personally its her best album for me. I've listened to it endlessly since it came out. Every song is magical and I love the production. Every time I listen I seem to think of a new interpretation of the lyrics, or notice something different about the production. Definitely my top album of 2019, and maybe my top album of the decade.

  4. ummm... the Paradise era was clearly the best.  Ride, Blue Velvet, (bonus track/video) Burning Desire + TROPICO (Body Electric, Gods & Monsters, Bel Air) makes 6 videos for that era.  And between Ride and Tropico these videos were coming straight from Lana's creative vision.  No lazy iphone videos.  These were top notch visionary.  I'd love to see her top this era someday, but it's feeling less and less likely as the years go by.

I forgot about paradise... But still its not like we got nothing in this era.

  5.

then who was the dude singing in it?

    According to slang:

I can see him being extremely bummed about UV, given Brooklyn Baby has a soundalike musician singing the male part at the end of that song (Seth Kaufman, everyone was fooled by this initially and thought it was Barrie). So UV is really the beginning of the end for them.

    From wikipedia as well:

Credits adapted from the liner notes of Ultraviolence.[12]

    Performance credits

    Instruments

  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD9wZxYfD0c

    Here is the full thing

She said she goes to the gym and does power lifting.

She talked about choosing the font for the album cover and the story about the album title

She mentions Yosemite and the american dream

She was asked what is the american dream for her :deadbanana:

The guy asked her some question at the very end that she didn't like but he said it so fast I didn't understand what it was

Am I going crazy or did I miss the mention of Yosemite??
