  1. Just wondering, would anyone mind making an "official name" column? Only because it took me this long to find out I Don't Wanna Go is actually named Tonight and earlier on with Ooh Baby being Are You Ready?
  2. The desperate "Ray, Ray, Ray, raise me up!" in the final chorus of Raise Me Up.
  3. That's what I'm afraid of the most because, to me, the production in AKALG is perfect in the way it is now and so versatile compared to BTD. It's my favorite Lana album, so of course, I'd love it to receive the attention it deserves, but not at the cost of ruining my favorite songs.
  4. Personally, I started listening to her late 2011, but I realized (when AKALG leaked) that I had seen her name before cus Gramma was featured on Amazon as the free track of the week or day or something like that. But I never gave it a listen, so technically, still late 2011.
  5. I took the time to read the entire original post and I think I got the gist of the imagery of each boyfriend in a song, so I've been speculating about AKA Lizzy Grant, because at the moment, it's my favorite Lana album, and I also think it's the most telling. I'm gonna try to categorize each song with a man previously in her life and if my little bits of evidence are wrong, please try to help so I can better understand it!
  6. I feel like this song is kind of like the theme of Brite Lites. It's Lana wanting a bit of the spotlight as well. Add in the her preference to older men, she now seems desperate to have her fame, which I guess includes making her boyfriend at the time/whoever can make her famous her "daddy". Ex: "He didn't know he'd have this much fun." "Lights, camera, action. You know I can't make it on my own." the desperate "Put me in a movie."
  7. Four way tie between Gramma, Brite Lites, Back to tha Basics, and Never Let Me Go.
  8. As much as I love Yayo (it's one of the first I've heard from her), my favs would definitely have to be: Mermaid Motel Jump Kill Kill Brite Lites/Oh Say Can You See Kill Kill/Raise Me Up in that order!
  9. I REALLY didn't like the Paradise version. But I've really grown to it! The original Yayo will be one of my favorite because it was one of the first songs I've ever heard from her, but I truly think the Paradise edition one is just as good.
  10. Sorry, I didn't really think about that! But I'll be completely honest and say that I'd actually pay for the CD if it was actually released.. Idk what happened to the rerelease, but that's another discussion for another thread, I guess.
  11. Does this website only do vinyls? Using the fanmade/speculated real back cover and a release cover I found (it's virtually the same thing as the original), I'd really love to have AKA Lizzy Grant in physical CD form.
  12. Can anyone explain to me what exactly Brite Lites is about? EDIT: If anyone would be willing to, the entire AKA Lizzy Grant album. It's too interesting. I know what some songs are about, but I like another's opinion/beliefs.
  13. Me, tbh. It was much better live, like at the Hackney concert with the strings and ghostly vocals.
  14. I can't say I love it more than the original, but I absolutely love the new Yayo. The piano, the burlesque/jazzy vocals. The only thing missing to make it perfect is the "lined with yellow lights on a dark night (niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight)".
  15. AKA Lizzy Grant is my favorite Lana album so far. I mean, all of her lyrics are pretty telling, but these lyrics are some of my favorites. Plus, this album houses some of her best released songs.
  16. I KNOW, I can't wait for that, Little Girls (reworked version), and Smartie to leak. AKA Lizzy Grant is my favorite of her album because I believe its lyrics are more telling than BTD and Paradise. Sorry, I just love that song! (edit: I'm new here, so hello!)
  17. ? It's easily one of the best of AKALG and one of my overall favs. So what if I would like it to be reworked to see what she'd do with it...?
  18. I actually didn't think of it like that. Brite Lites is a bit too lyrically serious to be the slutty anthem I want it to be.
  19. Mermaid Motel, Back to tha Basics, My Best Days, and Never Let Me Go. Some of my favorite unreleaseds!
  20. Can anyone list outtakes, both leaked and unleaked, that were allegedly recorded (or rerecorded) for Born to Die? I'm curious to see if we are close to having Lana's original vision for BTD.
  21. What exactly is C-Note? I heard it's an alternate name for Hundred Dollar Bill..
  22. It's actually really funny because I HATED the newer version of Yayo when I first heard it. Now, next to Bel Air of course, it's my favorite on the EP. I just really love the emotion put behind Yayo's lyrics and piano melody. And for Bel Air, I absolutely love that it's ridden with imagery and hints at Axl Rose (idk if it's actually about him though, but I'm a firm believer).
  23. My opinion may be irrelevant cus I'm new, idk, but Mermaid Motel shits on both of this. I literally feel almost dirty listening to that song. Ultimate stripper Lana song, tbh.
