I agree with your sentiment, but I also think there is a difference between featuring an artist in your music and culturally appropriating. Miley (and other artists not calling her out specifically) borrowed from other cultures and used it themselves. To me, a feature is saying I enjoy the art you make and I want it to make art with you, but you can bring your background in I don't think I would be able to adequately represent that. cultural appropriation is stealing what others have built rather than giving them a platform for sharing it. Lana has culturally appropriated in the past (the ride video, some say tropico too) but I don't think this would be the same thing. It is a tough line to follow though because the worst thing you want to do is offend anyone or have her actions be harmful even if that's not intended

my dream would be an I Went To The Store One Day type of album closer, but I totally agree that would be beautiful actually, or something like Real Love Baby like a catchy easygoing song would also be nice

TBH, and I hate saying this, but I doubt FJM would agree to a collab on this particular album. He just put out one of the strongest political/social critique records of the year, and I think Lana's just learning how to write music about politics. They both do it so differently. He calls people out she writes very vague lyrics in comparison. I could see them together on like any of the I love you honeybear tracks though, or even on honeymoon.

summer bummer isn't fake, just the release date, so we aren't really sure about the tracklist. There are reasons it might be legit (it was the first to announce summer bummer as a title which was then confirmed, it was on reputable websites, etc.) and reasons it might not be (it's 16 tracks and some think the album will be 18, doesn't include yosemite, which is definitely on the record, and some titles were different from how they have been presented in magazines like V, like GBA and When the world was at war we just kept dancing). My guess is that it's not completely correct but that's just me

Sooo the difference is, recordings of live music become readily available in the moment. We watch lana perform live via periscope or insta live or whatever as she's doing it. WIthin a few days everyone who cares enough to listen to it already has. At that point, a label is probably not going to expend time and energy compiling the performance into an album, doing sound editing, paying for cover art, for something that exists without all of that. For albums they have to make the music or it doesn't exist. They will sell the music because their copy of it is the original version of the song, and often is the most HQ. I'm not saying I wouldn't love one, I would, but it is a remnant of a time when you could sell those because there weren't other ways of making live performances available to those who couldn't make it to the concert
