Oh wow. It was on a 2015 album draft. So it didn't make it as far as "Good Girls," but it was considered at some point for it. A ton of songs were, though, and she changed her mind about what would be hers or not a ton of times. She & Noonie worked on Sucker songs (Doing It, Die Tonight, Need Ur Luv, etc.), Vroom Vroom songs (all except Secret (Shh), N1A songs (Blame It On U, White Roses) & songs on the album draft that leaked (like Good Girls), so I don't think that necessarily means much. I think Charli really likes working with her, which makes it hard to place songs liked "Naked" chronologically. Though if Genius is right, & it's Jarrad Rogers, it might've been from around the same time as "Not in Love." Depends on what you're counting, I mean Sticky was considered...as well as a handful of titles that aren't listed anywhere.

who said that? how did she release Roll With Me, then? And if even that was true, you don't have to have the label's permission to make songs. They can't control what you do in the studio. There are just three iirc, Dreamer, Drugs, and Babygirl. Why?? SOPHIE has a deal with Transgressive & Future Classic, how would that work?

i mean it's possible she recorded a vocal track for it but we have no confirmation. sarah bonito seems to be the vocalist of choice! but sophie's been playing just the instrumental lately, so probably just her...maybe a Jimmy Edgar credit too.

he was in a relationship with a girl when pc music was founded, spinee (who's still on the PC Music roster). So he definitely could be, but they were dating from at least 2013-2016 i think - and we just assume they aren't together anymore b/c he's always with charli.

Guys 25% of Roll With Me is recycled vocals from a 2011 sophie instrumental u can find on soundcloud (erroneously called POSMOUTH, which it’s not). As soon as i realized that part was old it lost a lot of it’s charm. i just wish it had been a little more fleshed out though i’m still SOOOO glad she finished it & put it out!!!

while i agree that 1999 bites 2002 a ton, if her label’s behind a MAX MARTIN song i’d much rather her release (under pressure) than an even more basic LA songwriter. then again, i like most of her stuff with Stargate after Break the Rules & i love Hey Boy Hey Girl...i really like when she does maximalist mainstream stuff.

I'm just wondering if she'll be able to put out her good stuff (like the new SOPHIE collab)--I'm guessing if we got Queen of Me and Could U Love Me, though, that she has the rights to a lot of her old music! No, I'm sure that's not it. She's released SOPHIE stuff before omg & it's probably just because some kind of agreement between her and The Invisible Men. Also, it's possible that she only wrote the new bridge with them, and that might be part of it too. This isn't just the demo that SOPHIE worked with, that bridge is totally new. No, it's just the Invisible Men. :/ I mean I guess all y'all are gonna just have to wait for the production credits to be added to Spotify or Tidal but I am 99.9% sure that the SOPHIE production isn't on the final version at all. Even if it's similar, she won't be credited. No, Charli probably could have paid for the SOPHIE version. Like @@diplo said, there was probably some kind of agreement or understanding between her and The Invisible Men...and we know that she got very little if any money for the mixtape budgets, and SOPHIE was on three of those song & obviously the whole Vroom Vroom project. I don't think it's as simple as money. Brooke's also been shady as Hell about "Oh Yeah," because on the Instagram livestream she said she couldn't put it out because of her "new direction" or something like that. Additionally, without her being signed, it's possible that SOPHIE wanted to ensure she got her money's worth, because most artists have SOME kind of agreement in place to pay producers and writers royalties...unlike Brooke, who's so punk she only wants to release free music. That's why her new stuff is gonna be MNDR heavy. MNDR just takes the royalties from that Flume song & the Charli songs she worked on & pours it into "punk" music for Brooke on their new label.
