I love that this song is getting a resurgence of love from the fandom. It's so gorgeous, Lana's vocals are just perfect and the lyrics are really beautiful. I too always loved the "finally, finally Im getting closer to the dream" part, to me it always had a spiritual meaning. Like getting closer to god.

I wouldn't mind a slew of performances like this. You all know how nervous she is. She hasn't been on TV in so long. If this is what it takes for her to slowly warm up to the idea of doing televized performances again, so be it.

My top 10 reflects that it's a stan spotify account, the top 5 are just songs that I put on repeating playlists while I plugged in the headphones so I wouldn't hear them and leave my computer running so the songs would chart better...and as you see with the exception of Rain On Me which is a semi-hit at best, all of them are flops. Oh well.

I was surprised to see my spotify wrapped this year, my most played Lana song in 2020 was White Mustang. Thinking back, I do put it on in the background a lot. I know almost no one agrees but I have been in love with the song ever since she posted the snippets on instagram, and then the album came out, and wow, it was perfection. The obvious standout track of the record. And then I was so lucky because it actually received a music video, and she performed it many many times as well. White Mustang is just such a comfort

Everyone with a working brain knows that there was absolutely nothing wrong with what she posted on instagram. Only those found issue with it who just ache to be offended by something. But those twitter snowflakes live for that and move on to the next thing to hate on in a few days so it does not matter that much.

Let's be honest both are perfect. Even without an album, she is feeding us this year. Boom Like That, Life Is Beautiful, I Talk To Jesus, every imaginable part of Wild One, Let Me Love You Like A Woman, Hallucinogenics, Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, Thunder... it' s a great year to be a Lana fan.

Fun story I showed Lana's rendition to my football obsessed friend and he was so impressed with it, he became open to listen to some songs by her so I told him to just check her latest album Norman Fucking Rockwell. He did actually listen to it yesterday, he said his faves are Love Song and How To Disappear.

So excited to finally hear it, I hope the production is orchestral & lush

Never Be Me is just amazing. I am happy this one didn't leak in advance, because it really hits in the context of the album. So powerful.
