In BTD, I always thoughts she sings:
Faith don't fail me now, instead of Feet don't fail me now.
And that just sounds so deep. I think that would be an ever better line tbh...

I actually rather enjoyed reading this.
Don't you want to write about Scream and Shout too?

I haven't really seen that much love to Fake Diamond. At one point I actually thought I was the only one who liked it. The tune itself is just so nostalgic, I wish I could have an instrumental on this at one point. I feel like I'm Bill and this is my Lucky Ones
I also find Damn You really beautiful. It's like the baby sister to Without You. If you look at the lyrics you'll instantly notice the resemblance:
Push Me Down and Driving In Cars With Boys is also worth mentioning because they make me feel like I'm literally in a car in a desert, you know? Those kind of songs that really takes you to places even though you're probably just at home doing basic stuff
OFF: If you need another "desert song" (yeah I just invented that word) I strongly recommend the song "
"
Last but not (by all means) least we have the best of the best: Million Dollar Man (Demo). I was having this discussion the other day on tinychat and evil said a single word that basically summed up the whole song: "Timeless". That's pretty much the same way I feel about this song. I feel the elegance, sorrowfulness and the era that's channeling through Lana. It's like an out of the body experience every time I listen to it
I wouldn't mind writing a paragraph about Live Or Die and Radio (Demo) as well, so I'll just leave them to ata

That song should have been on BTD. It is perfection in every sense, sheer genius in its production, stunning in its vocals--just the swelling orchestra and the wails and undgwkhjdhdka I want to marry it sonically, visually, thematically and musically. It needs to be released and seriously I would sell my soul to hear it live.

That makes sense, I'm just starting to get that feeling.

Yeah, I thought mostly about those 2 too...also I'm suspecting that she looks down on Taylor Swift...she's basically the stuck-in-high-school version of her. + less artistic

What captured me about her at first, was her beauty, then how shy she was. I loved her attitude in her early interviews! How she always touched her hair, it was fascinating!
And, weirdly, her songs never get boring. They just don't. I listened for the new Selena Gomez single for 3 days, and I am kind of getting tired. But I am still not over Paradise. Weird...but her songs last forever, and I really admire that.

I wonder what helped it's raise more, the music video or the movie, tbh.

"He can’t keep his hands off the piano, ever. Whenever I’m not writing he always asks, ‘why aren’t you writing?’ We kick each others asses."
Good Barrie, good!
That's it, keep her working!
And also, did you notice? Spanish guitar? They are already working on the melodies and instrumentals! Yaay!

In my opinion, the video is quite possibly the most amazing thing she's put out besides Ride. The cinematography is perfect, her makeup and hair are spectacular, and the simplicity makes the song even more beautiful. It has variation in subtle ways that aren't flashy or overdone, and it makes it unique in comparison to any other video out right now.
Plus, the homage to the beautiful orchestral video she used in Video Games is perfection. I feel like this video is actually the treatment that Lana wish she was able to give to Video Games. The orchestra, the simplicity, the glamour, and the noir feel would've all fit it perfectly, as they do this song.

Well stop bitching here. When she was Lizzy Grant and had upbeat songs, nobody cared about her. She has refound herself again as Lana Del Rey who is known for her slow retro ballads singing in low register. And this whole mysterious image works for her and really captivated people... Honestly I dont think she can stay famous with spears-wannabe songs like St. Tropez; they are not distinctive or original, anyone could sing them.
