Always either use the final take or the first version (if neither is specified as a demo) for the main playlist, although I listen to some demos and alternates more.

 

Also Vol. VI: Live, Vol. VII: Instrumentals, and Vol. VIII: Remixes.

Alright...so here's the deal:

 

I've been listening to Lana's unreleased songs a  lot recently and I came to realize how good they are and I was thinking of which songs were the ones that could actually make up an album of their own.

 

My favourite tracks are the ones from 2010 and 2011 and most of them deal with freedom, liberation, life with no rules...basically "living on the edge" so I tried to create a tracklist made up of song that represent this theme the best and still make up for a cohesive but still in some part diverse album.

The sequencing actually tells a story of a girl growing up in a more rural, quiet era wanting to escape with her lover. A life without consequences and full of adventure, excitement and passion. She knows he's a bad guy and she's just a cute girl, but tells him that she can be bad as well. However, living the life they live HAS it's consequences and they end up seperated, but Lana "doesn't want to go home"...

On Our Way is my fav it's like more guitar driven, lighter sounding and more summery, and I just rly like it out of Hollywood and On Our Way i feel like On Our Way would work better as a legitimate album (((maybe some rerecordings of Match Made in Heaven and Money Hunny tho)))

 

Then I have Us Against the World, Summer of Sam and Miss America but they're all a bit weird and thoughtlessly done.
