I get waaaay too emotional over LDR and CC.

Being innocent is all part of her stage persona though, the whole doe eyed look, 'bambi' eyes and what not. It's total 50s glamour.
 
Also, her lyrics are sardonic a lot of the time, but I'm not even a feminist so I guess I'm not bothered.

Well, kids have probably seen it 1000x on the street anyway by complete strangers. It's down to parents to set examples to their kids - not Lana Del Rey (or any other celebrity). If David Bowie can smoke on stage, Lana Del Rey can too.

That's true, I mean if she came on to the music scene as Lizzy Grant now she'd probably be a lot more successful. You're totally right, the music industry is more about timing and luck than talent a lot of the time.
