Yes it's a beard. He/She is a drag queen what caused a lot of buzz in our little country. People here adore her or hate her to death. I still don't know what to think about her but she has an incredible voice and that's what actually counts for me. Still I think at the ESC it's not really about voice but more about show and attention seeking. She covers both so I'm just excited how it'll end.

Oh yes! I watched both semi-finals although I think I never really liked any of the songs performed there in the history of the ESC. It's just so amusing (and my sister forces me every year to watch it with her). @, on the second show there was actually a song from Australia but it was out of competition. This time I'm even a bit excited for the finals on saturday because after like 99999 years my country (Austria) finally surrived the semi-finals. We even seem to have realistic chances of winning (according to some overdramatic newspapers here) with our 'pretty girl' Conchita.

My excitement is constantly growing! Those song titles make me so curious. Some of them sound so extremely Lana that they already seem fake but I didn't expect her to completely change her song topics. I have to say that I actually can't imagine at all how those songs will sound like. UV is gonna be a big surprise at least for me. Btw, I could see Cruel World being a 6:30 instrumental ending with Lana singing "oooooh ooooh it's a cruel cruel world" (her favourite song )

Somehow I really like it. Simple but very beautiful. A few months ago I wouldn't have liked it at all I think but her new style kinda grew on me since then. (I'll miss her beauty queen style though.)

I just stumbled upon a band called "Florida Kilos". Well I doubt that those guys inspired Lana in any way but they seem to have similar influences on their music. Most likely not important at all but I just felt like sharing it.

I think she never talked about changing the titles but why not?

I'm not a native french speaker, so no guarantee that the translation is correct. (Btw, my second french translation today. There's lot of french homework waiting to be done but I rather spend my time translating Lana related things. )

I think you're talking about this one from 2012. On page 3 the interviewer mentions that she put Yayo on the Paradise Edition and asks Lana if she plans to rerelease AKA. Although I'm not really a fan of the Paradise version of Yayo I'd really like a redrecord of one of those songs for UV, but only one. AKA's Yayo was already perfect imo, but for Kill Kill and Mermaid Motel there's still a potential of making them even better. (Shouldn't mean they aren't good enough like they are, actually they are my favourite tracks off AKA) The rest of UV should be completely new material. EDIT: Just found the thread about that interview which also includes a full translation.

Hm, I don't really know what to think about this new version. Of course it's way more radio friendly but for me they just killed the whole atmospere of the song. And I know it's just a radio mix but if it's for Gemany and Switzerland (and gets popular) I guess it'll also be played here at Austrian radio stations like it was the case with Summertime Sadness and Dark Paradise. And I tell you everytime they play one of those remixes I still turn off the radio because...yeah, Idk...I get really annoyed and just can't listen to it. The SS radio version even made me hate the original album version, initially one of my favs off BTD (now it has grown on me again but still). On the other hand the new West Coast radio remix actually has the potential to become a summer hit song and this, of course is good for Lana.... Sorry for being so picky

Haha, I feel so hillbilly because those body harnesses seem to be something everybody knows... Anyway we definitely need some new iconic Lana accessoires for the UV era like the flower crown or the already mentioned two finger ring were for her BTD time. I just need something new I can collect because my two finger ring and heart shaped sunglasses collections are getting too huge

I read somewhere that she refers to St. Vincent de Paul Church which is in LA. But I also don't really know what that line means. Ok, her friends might go to that church but I think it has a far more poetic meaning. Maybe she wants to say that they don't really believe in God? Idk...
