  1. I can type up the full interview rn if no one else has. It's not all that different from what was teased though.
  2. My copy of V came in the mail today too and it /is/ really big for a magazine. The "V" part of the cover has a slippery texture to it while the rest of the cover doesn't. That's a cool touch. Two of the pics are SO grainy and pixelated. Like, what happened? The one that was teased on insta and one other. Oh well. The other spreads in the mag are pretty cool too.
  3. While I also appreciate it when artists evolve and try new things, people are allowed to feel how they feel about a different direction an artist is taking. Obviously we all love the old Lana, or else we wouldn't be here. Some people are gonna be flexible and like the new things she's doing, and some people won't. And that's fine. None of us should be so bothered by whether or not fellow fans like Lana for all the same reasons we do.
  4. Exactly. I'm not nearly as upset about a July release date as I am about the way everything has been handled, especially the way the information was revealed and how the only actual follow up to Lana's initial tweet has been Ben's instaBreakdown. It's all just rude tbh. Have a lot of fans been childish and way out of hand? Yes. Is it acceptable to harass the team like that? No. But I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a group of professionals to handle their business professionally.
  5. Haha I knew y'all would bring that up, that's why I made sure to specify "fans who deserve it". I appreciate sassy Lana, but this seems is a new level of not giving a fuck to me :/
  6. I've supported Lana unflinchingly since becoming a fan a few years ago, but even I feel snubbed and disregarded as a fan by the way this has all unfolded. To tease and tease that the album is coming soon, in the spring, for MONTHS, and then dash all of that anticipation with a less-than-heartfelt, vague, practically sardonic tweet, followed by instagram posts of her literally giving us all the bird...I feel betrayed, honestly. Call it a childish meltdown or whatever, but I always looked up to Lana for staying classy and for always being sweet to the fans who deserve it. To see her be so dismissive of us this era is kind of heartbreaking. Especially since she has insisted that this one is "for the fans". I never thought I'd feel this disillusioned or let down by her :/ I hope I'll just get over it by July but idk...I can't keep holding a torch for someone who seems hell-bent on blowing it out in one way or another.
  7. Idk how some of y'all are so okay with it not coming out until the summer is almost over like what the fuck this is a tragedyyyyy
  8. I will perish if this album does not come out on Friday I promise forever
  9. I will be in denial for the rest of my days and nobody can change that. My grandchildren will ask me "Grammie, where were you when Lana Del Rey's iconic album Lust For Life was released, in the summer of 2017?" and I will laugh lightly, chiding them, "Oh, my children, that album came out May 26th of that year. In the Spring, like she said. Silly dears." Then I'll just get up slowly and start smashing everything in sight. And they'll just shake their heads and realize that this is why they were warned never to ask grammie about Lana Del Rey.
  10. Where do you think it was cut? After he mentioned having gotten to know her fanbase over the last couple of days? that's when I assumed he was about to ask
  11. Yeah, I think she just means as a general rule she likes to wait to go into studio until she has around 9 songs in mind.
  12. She is just the cutest. It's nice to have more insight into her process and how much control she has over her work/release dates and such. That being said, HE DIDN'T EVEN ASK. He said he was gonna ask for us
  13. Ah, didn't realize they were done so far in advance in comparison to Lana's. Maybe it will actually come out soon then. I still wouldn't be surprised if she has them wait though Idk about editing it, maybe she just wants to wait until like Monday or something for whatever news is in there. I doubt she would have said something she wasn't prepared for people to hear at all.
  14. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I think the delayed release of Lana's interview vs Paramore's and whoever else's has already been released is because it actually does contain important news that Lana isn't ready to say just yet
  15. I won't be surprised if it's just Love, LFL, and Cherry, but I do believe we're getting the album on Friday anyway
  16. Most of the songs on HM don't really fit the cover imo. If we can have a smiling Lana AND dark songs, then that's the absolute best of both worlds
  17. I think it's something to the effect of "it's like smiling when a firing squad's fixed on you" This song is absolutely going to ruin my peaches I am so PUMPED. But I have to go into work for basically the exact amount of time it's going to be happening and that is so laaaaaaame. Better be some HQ shit up directly afterward. Come thru for me y'all.
  18. yyyyyEEESS wanton Lana is back and with those dance MOVES I can't wait for this fucking song
  19. Nvm I've listened to it like ten more times and I fully love it now
  20. "And what about all their wishes? Wrapped up like garland roses Around their little heads" "Maybe my contribution / could be as small as hoping That words could turn to birds and birds would send my thoughts your way" How can you guys not like such a sweet song
  21. I was with you guys on the production being kind of a mess and not really knowing how to feel about it on first listen. But on second listen, I really like it. It's heartfelt, different yet still very Lana, and the lyrics are sweet and interesting. The only thing I don't love is the little "stairway, stairwaaay" backing vocals during the chorus. They're mixed too loud so they kinda clash and are distracting. The whole chorus section is a little bit busy, but the more I hear it, the more I like that about it. Other than that one thing, though, I really do like the song. It takes a while to know how I truly feel about a Lana song, and I haven't totally digested this yet, but so far I'm feelin' it. Curious to see how it fits in the album and how all the songs connect with each other.
  22. Looking at old pics of them again, I see you're right about them being grey instead of black. I guess I just always assumed she'd put a little makeup over them for the red carpet. Could also have been makeup'd a little by the Elle makeup team.
