@@evilentity will merging the threads mean that we'll have to relink the interviews in the directory?

Ideally, I'd like it if we would commit to preserving past discussion about interviews... it doesn't sit right with me to exclude past discussion and insights. It seems kind of disingenuous to pretend that these past threads/posts don't exist, no matter how inane or trivial the posts are. If most of the thread is "YASSS SHE LOOKS SO GOOD" "can't wait to hear about the album, hope she talks about it!!" and some inane stuff, but later posts discuss the content of the interview...I think as unfortunate as those earlier posts are, I think the thread should be kept and moved to this section to have the OP reformatted and title renamed. I dunno, I just really feel like we gotta keep these things for the sake of ~posterity~? I would draw the line at there needing to be any sort of semblance of "meaningful" discussion within the thread (aka not just anticipation for the interview, or saying how good she looks on the cover). I'm very interested to hear what others have to say... I do have an inkling that I'm in the minority here.

@@annedauphine one of the mods could make a forum announcement (akin to the Posting Guide that you see at the top of the sections/subsections) linking to your new thread and asking for help translating interviews if you speak certain languages? let us know if that's something you'd be interested in or if that's not necessary

It will require mod powers both to move the threads and to edit their OPs. I wonder if Tiarnan could grant more powers to the contributors within the confines of the Interview section?

I had originally planned to use the already existing threads, and modify the OP to match the template of the interview threads. I think the original interview threads have some great discussion and shouldn't be abandoned!
