Lol I wasn't trying to hate. I just think he makes things sound generic. I still like LFL, I'm just commenting on things that influenced the end result of the song and possibly made it sound more generic. Not that seriousI like pop music so I'm not saying that video should change everyone's mind about pop in general.

I mean, Max Martin is mentioned here (7:00)... He is known for having a hand in the most popular selling songs. So, yeah, I do think he had a hand in making the song LFL (which is what I was referring to. not the entire album) sound more general or marketable.

He was consulted and the song is different as a result of seeing him. That's somewhat of a contribution

Perhaps Lana is just low on creative juices? She has been famous for a bit now, so she can't always be the same as Lizzy Grant or Lana Del Ray (AKA), or channel those times in her life in the same way, if that makes sense. (Or maybe she can and just doesn't want to?) Maybe she needs to get out of her comfort zone again and experience life in a way that can make her songs and concepts more fresh. I'm not saying her concepts on LFL aren't good. I loved the album. Heroin and Get Free sounded new for Lana and also amazing in my opinion. But she really could use something that makes her sound more fresh like she did on Born to Die.

Okay this is just a thought I had while watching the video. I apologize if this has been mentioned, but I wonder if the music video can also be applied to her fling with g-eazy? Like maybe that was part of the thought behind it since the footage was used for WM rather than BAR anyway.

I wasn't really feeling it. But it may grow on me. Ive only watched it once on my phone because im at school. The positives are that she looks gorgeous and the look of the video is pleasant. It could be a lot worse, so I'm not gonna hate on it too much. Hopefully her future videos have more substance like National Anthem, Ride, ect.

In her upcoming work, I hope she retains her vintage sound from Honeymoon combined with her "trash magic" quirky sort of sound in from her Lizzy Grant days and in AKA. I'm also quite fond of the raw sound in UV. Idkkk Lana gurl just ditch the trap beats a few songs is fine but it was overused in LFL. I love the album but yeah

I hope she keeps her word from the July ig stream and comes to Texas

I feel like this season will be a grower. The first episode was pretty disappointing and a tad on the boring side (the election stuff is still fresh in my mind so it made me cringe a bit). But yeah, I have a feeling it is going to get better. I'm interested to see how Kai and Ally will interact and develop as characters.
