  1. every time I listen to her stuff I just find it so inspiring. like c'mon. she was just like, imma be myself. imma do it, and now w consistency, she's getting the acclaim she really deserves. there's just so much love in all that, it's so good
  2. She’s like that one boyfriend that picks you up but doesn’t tell you where you’re going and you’re like, ah ok well hope it’s somewhere fun, except with her releases
  3. she's unpacked a lot w ocean blvd. so I can understand how she might want to lighten things up a little. I still don't really know what a country song is, nor am I really interested if I'm being completely honest but. idk an intuitive guess' that she might have a dreamier kind of element to the music. I immediately think about ITTJ or strangely enough pink champagne. like a gas station on the road for the road kinda album. thinking art film direction. still thinking about Johnny Cash when she mentions what she does. after these many albums coming from her, atp really it's just about enjoying the music. so w how patterns go, I'm thinking maybe she'll just go around and encapsulate that feeling w the album. 'specially w how much she's just been loving to perform and be out there. might just be me, but. i don't think there's anything wrong with that. blue banisters and ocean blvd.'s been a steady progression of heaviness and so what I'm looking forward to's the possible freshness that this album has the higher capacity to bring. the quality's there. she's not so good w calendar's but really, she'll have something of quality. her descriptions aren't always the most accurate, and I attribute that to her being originally herself w how she does things. she just needs to put it out there, give it some love when she does, and let the music speak for the rest. I do hope we get some more legacy tier tracks, some kind of burgundy incorporated into the era. and an actual trailer and alternate artwork. but aside from that, really, it's just chill. she knows what she's doing. don't like the vagueness of schedule, but aside from that, it's all good. no amount of complaining's gonna change anything, she's stubborn when it counts so- yeah.
  4. it's crazy how she's always getting backlash but then she manages to change/ influence the environment and then it's all somehow good and dandy when everyone else does it
  5. Well I hope there’s multiple cowboys on the album cover
  6. so when she mentions southern gothic i just think of that one stevie girl from ahs
  7. here's hoping she collabs with the 2024 calendar first
  8. it just feels so "all that's real to me is Marilyn and Jesus" rn
  9. Well I guess no matter how u look at it, good thing’s that we’ll end up being surprised either way
  10. someone ask that albanian horse farmer if they got the vinyl early again
  11. every time i check this thread i think if she releases it on september, will we like not know for a good while like when the the hope home music video was released and no one realized til like a few days or something and I think to myself, personally maybe yes
  12. Stream earth wind and fire’s september n just laugh it off sksksks
  13. So how are we flexing our brains in creatively making excuses today?
  14. possible topics? - legends never die. - the sustenance of entertainment and the curtain/ illusion behind it's hypnotism - will it support that, reframe it, or have the music be more genuine about it's peering - lasso: is she the one lassoing, or was she lasso'd in herself? of what? - when the novelty begins to expire, what do you have left when it comes to not relying on that? - in this possible case, of the country genre. parallels regarding/ surrounding too - will boredom/ taking things easier be part of the record? as in, the cornered in feelings beside the bed dresser of that? - where do I start, after the entire bedroom confessions that ocean blvd.'s been shared? - should donoghue be in a music video with prison inmates? - will being on a horse be so predictable? is a mechanical bull to expected? what I was before, is part of what makes me today vibes atm. maybe with that, she can be on the cover. picture it. sunset lighting, peach/ pink kinda light. in the bedroom. in a nightgown, looking away 3/4 angle of face, holding on/ against a man's clotheless back, with just the back of his head showing. she'll look disinterested, but also with an expression of boredom, and wanting to rather being somewhere else.
  15. the color black. contrast to blonde. burgundy, something sim to the color of wine. swamp. river. prison inmates. jeff buckley. I go back to alabama frills, pendant necklaces. return of the motorcycles. old fashioned vintage telephones fishtails but make it a bit aka, with more ultraviolence. mgm, vegas. surrealism in the album cover. i'm tempted to say bw, but maybe it'll just have a darker mood to it despite instead. thinking about lilith energy venus as a boy video cheekiness black iron vs gas stations will the cover be gaudy? be in a thrift store? set in some kind of closet? or is she gonna be sitting underneath a willow tree? will there be others on the cover? will it be sultry, lean into burlesque? or will she be modern day spelunking? inside the lights of a dive bar? so many questions. all i'm getting at's this american poison ivy trope that no longer decided to give af in a back to the basics but legends kinda way
