  1. Ok but wait tf how can anyone sludge on HM? The transition from Freak to Art Deco alone just wut
  2. I didn't want to say anything, bc why, and also bc of my prev satirical post , but can we please stop shitting on the album Like alright it's subjective a matter of opinion let's start there, but the album was still pretty solid. Sure she changed the mechanics behind how the album focused in on things, but it's beautiful. The opening on Love, it's message. The title track, with the piano in the background building momentum, like navigating towards life, the senitmentality of 13 Beaches. Cherry with it's heightened sensuality, White Mustang's penchant for nostalglia. Summer Bummer, a classy hoe's backtrack, how hypnotizing Groupie Love is, IMF lyricism, Coachella's concern and selflessness, GBA's motivating tendencies, the fun f.o approach to problems, how globalist BP is, an ode TNC is, and how earth shattering the last three tracks are. Sure it lacks a kind of cohesiveness to what we've gotten accustomed to, but it's still such a solid work. If you're looking for a problem, u'll find one, but still. It's not difficult to appreciate the anthology that is LFL. I do have to agree tho, I don't think a grammy can just encapsulate what an album/music can mean. It'll probably boost what an artist can charge, but that never means quality is exclusive with it. . . .So on another note which side of the coin are we playing wait with today?
  3. Lana: I'm not releasing the next record til ur truly in luv with LfL
  4. This. She's got a cult following. Might as well extend her artistry thru decent merch.

  12. Oh ah ahem. So.... we're in the leaking phase (surf ). If so. Does that mean .. ?
  13. Ok but so on another note, I was reading how the smell of pine, or just pine had all these health benefits, with flavanoids and biof, with antioxidants, and reduce risks of cancer so on. I just remembered 13 Beaches, when she mentioned how she likes spending time underneath the pines. Holistic health queen... I hope she keeps going with this happy place of a concept for the next record. That with surf vibes would just be heaven
  14. Wth this is amazing. Thank u for sharing (sincerely) :hearrt: I get it tho, I've all these songs that I couldn't listen to for a while bc of guys. I empathize. Glad u got into her stuff tho yeas!!
  15. Let's give the woman her space, it's not any of our biz. What we should really be talking about is the possible props she's having for her country music video. Cowgirl hats sheriff stars and all. Is that folk?
  16. Title. Could be from her official discog or not. Which song had you obsessed with the artist that is Lana Del Rey? What comprised of that moment when you just knew it was THAT song that you had to hear live, had to see a video for, to be sung in a cappella so on. Born to Die was life changing, her voice, the instrumentals, the topics she'd sing about. I was mesmerized. Paradise came along shortly after, I marathon'd Tropico and waited for UV after her announcement. For me, it was all about WEST COAST. I remember Fern debuting it on the radio, and I'd been waiting to listen to it an hour before to make sure I didn't miss it. It was dark in my room I was just on the net waiting til it came. That song got me OBSESSED. The sensuality of it, the downtempo chorus, the subject matter, the guitar, those synths. It was so beautifully malefic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKxuiw3iMBE That was the moment I knew Lana had so much more to offer. Watched the live performance of it online at Coachella, the dizzying yellow lights that hit the stage and audience at the bridge. How the colors danced around her dress. Utterly mystifying. The vid's such a dream too. I'm not sure how many times I've listened to the song, and I remember some moments I've played it to extend my experiences but damnnnnnnn. What. a song. I'll stop there So. Which song had you hooked with Lana? What might be your favorite or most memorable memory while listening to it?
  17. So. Which part of the food chain did the butterfly end up to? Bc idk what I'm feeling but happiness is far from this thread thats fersure
  18. No I get it. I remember when I first listened to Born To Die, it just transformed my perspective on life little by little. Then we kinda got to see her everywhere for a bit, and it pretty great. The grandiose vids from BtD, how she sated our wonder with Paradise. The fuck you's from UV would make u laugh about life, the lullabies on HM. I remember being at UO listening to the music. I guess for me, LFL was amazing to the point of the White Mustang vid, the Love posters, all the magazines, some performances. It's funny too cus I think the last record was when I actually got to share how much I love Lana with friends as a kinda group thing, so that was a big deal for me. I mean she's a true stable name out there now, and I personally think she's influenced a wave of singing and style that no one can really take away. So there's that. Good things come to those who wait probs. I'm kinda hoping she'll change the music game, and elevate it again somehow with the supposed upcoming record. At the very least, LFL's a great transitory perspective on her part, so hey, that's something she's recently already shared.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLGXvTCkUa0 Her next release. But honestly I do miss her interview and live performance vids
