  1. Freak Song to listen to while you're holiday shopping?
  2. I'd like to hear some electric n bass guitars of course, tambourines, violins, and strangely enough, saxophones?? on the record
  3. There are many things I'm willing to entertain, but the free Mickey d's promo is just a no go for me. Even if they sponsored all her music and videos for the era.
  4. nANCY jO, THis is aLEXiS nEIrers calling . . .can't miss what we never got @twitter.com/bgcslave/status/962359730801868801
  5. Ok so alll the way back to her BtD days, she's really come so far. I mean WOW. and to top things off, she went full circle when LfL came around, and acknowledged the Hero's Journey cycle pic, and is coming back to us w a new album, where I'm pretty sure things'll be from a fresher perspective, possibly even past the themes we've always heard her sing so much about. The tones of MAC and VB are a lot more openly, healthily playful and strong. It's really amazing, thinking of all that growth she's been able to transfer and live out and through w each record. Kinda inspires u after all the uncertainty and wanting more from life from Lfl, knowing that she's in a better place now, and sharing that with us to either empathize or learn from. Life skills and therapy w prof Lana del rey
  6. Honestly for me, since Video Games, I don't really think I'd be able to stop caring. She's shared with us such beautiful perspectives, and I guess for me, I like sensing the pain of others when it comes to artists in particular, and I'm just glad that she's so clever about sharing hers with us. Music wise, as long as the lyrical content and quality of sound is there, I'll always look her up. Annnnd seeing how even some of her demos are just jewels, I don't think I'd not be able to care tbh I'd be kinda sad tho to hear a song of hers not have any feeling of soulfulness tho, not the genre, but just the Lana spiritedness she always seems to deliver. We'll always have Video Games and Venice Bitch thoo
  7. I read this as Summer Bummer lyrics. Where are the sloot songs? Will there b a sloot song on nFr?
  8. Ok so hold on to this for a sec, but the minute I saw her buy the cabin, and how she took a single cover for HBTB on HM, I immediately thought of Carole King's Tapestry album. Cabin fits the vibes, no? I'm hoping another promo single's on it's way
  9. Honestly can and will probably have to wait til then, and it'll b ok bc the holidays are just around the corner and will ride us through Jan, but I was hoping we'd get HtD already tho, it's a nice song to just get comfy in. Just in case anyone forgets, but I highly doubt it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESk1ZHDk7M0
  10. I can see what u mean. Then again, it'd be great to sorta use her platform/voice if she ever does, and I personally wouldn't think the crowd would even mind but I get it.. might not even be on her radar, but it'd be sweet if she did. At this point, I feel we'd more likely get a few Christmas covers via insta, i dk anymore lol
  11. When do u think we'll get or if we'll get another promo single? Or any new info?
  12. Honestly, I can still collectively feel that it still is, that and that it's kinda a running joke, which is like a slap in the face to those who haven't truly moved on, but imagine if it just happened to leak or something. Still wouldn't want it on NFR tho.. Idk, Venice b kinda helped me move past it if anything. If it were about that one original scenario/story where the guy just wants his friend back, I'd be truly heartbroken, bc, honestly friendship. (gay or straight )
  13. Yosemite's another reason to fall in love w Norman. Wth does she really read the comments here? Hi Lana Happiness is an @ mention Also. Where is LiB? So many questions !! !
  14. Title. News dry u know the rundown. Which moments on Lana's tracks are the most beautiful, or meaningful to you? I'll probably contribute more later on but, for me, thinking at the top of my head: "... like diamonds -" from Young and Beautiful The opening keys on "American" The climax of the Shades of Cool guitar solo, the climax of synths in West Coast How she mumbles "ohmygod, dizzy from loving ya, ohmygod dizzy from loving ya" in World at War "there are guns that blaze around you, ... fire that surrounds you" how she sings those words in Honeymoon Blue Jeans chorus, how beautifully delicate yet sure it sounds Her use of her head register in Cola, that bridge where she's crooning The list goes on and on. So. What hits hard, and what gets you cold goosebumps? What are some of your favorite song moments?
  15. I only listened to HtD the third time today. I'm ok w it and Venice Bitch is still going strong. MAC? An awakening every so often it comes up from a playlist.. Sprint towards what bitches lol
  16. I know what you're saying, the whole story tense changes everything, and just amplifies how sad it must've been, and sad how it still was unresolved even after all this time. And yes I get that, seeing the sunset past the smog and factory silhouettes, the fires in the sky, how it must've been a relief to go back home, away from sunlight, and into views of grey, or how sad that must've been, when it just came in temperatures of sight. It's like acknowledging something there, but not being able to do anything more about it. Blue Jeans definitely was in the past, but I think the beat, the drama and forwardness of it, really helped amped things up to the present, that and how the chorus and bridge sorta tie things back to the present.
  17. I'm gonna cry if How To Disappear doesn't end up being on the record.
  18. God Knows I Tried Song to play when you feel the need to be protected
  19. Idk how, but it makes me think of the industrial revolution, or something about someone coming back home from a hard days work. There's a kind of sad peacefulness to it, and how she ends it with "no one's going anywhere, I'll always be right here, no one's going anywhere" What a beautiful, comforting sentiment like shit, whoever she's singing about must unknowingly have it so good
  20. I know I've already said this waay back before, but How To Disappear is like a Lana Leonard Cohen love child. Reminds me so much of Chelsea Hotel No. 2, so angelic
  21. I could actually see this sound fitting in w hers pretty well. I know it's for Scarface, but it could very well be for a Bond flick or something.
  22. I WOULD DIE IF SHE COVERED THIS: https://youtu.be/6gZ-11-kOSQ
  23. From the woman who wrote Bel Air, I don't think she's gonna have any trouble about whether or not the material's there. I'm thinking it's gonna be more about the tone she takes, and how much intent reflects from the effort she uses. Still, I'm hoping it's just a status, but the hyphens do get me worried. Bc I mean it's a bit predictable, and in the sound of ur thoughts, I can't help but think it being said slowly than quick. I actually liked Coachella, and the meaning behind it, the outro was heavenly, so I wouldn't mind another one, more in the sound of surf, but. Well plainly put. I hope those weren't lyrics just now. At least we know she's playing with rhythm atm
