So I watched the video again. I get that the “story” is that Ari, Miley and Lana are supposed to be Charlie’s Angels. Miley is the tough gal with the boxing gloves, who isn’t afraid to use anything to get an answer from the bad guy. Lana seems to be something like a mastermind behind those computer screens or like she’s keeping an eye or something, and she seems to be the expert when it comes to deciding what weapon to pick. Ari is... waiting for the Miley and Lana to arrive to the mansion? Sends the helicopters flying? And then just poses in the mansion. The video would’ve been better if she had a role to play too, seeing this truly made it feel like an Ariana song and video (more than it already is). Bland video, bland song, I’ll forget about this collab just like I did with Lana x Børns.

I don’t like it. Everyone’s parts sound too different to me that the song doesn’t flow well, it even makes me like Lana’s part less because it feels so out of place. Oh well. I’ll go back to stanning Norman.

... I don’t think you can compare Venice to Bohemian Rhapsody. Venice is a great track with dreamy, psychedelic vibes but Bohemian is just something else, mixing several styles (opera, rock, ballad) just like that... I don’t think anyone else could dream that up.They’re both great tracks but just so different, I wouldn’t compare them to each other.

Finally had time to listen to these now. Kinda funny that she used her NYC accent on certain words for a Cali song like Doin' Time, haha. First verse of Break up with your girlfriend was really hard for me to hear, and, like pretty much everyone above me have mentioned already, it was really hard to hear her voice in DT as well. Makes me wonder if the BBC staff is to blame or her own, because she's still drown out by backup vocals on her own concerts sometimes. Like, I saw her sing VB last time I saw her, and I'm certain she sang, but the backup vocals completely took over. They do in this session too. Anyway, I don't like Ariana's girlfriend too much but Lana's was just chill so I prefer that one.
