  1. Gorgeous video, I like how there was 3 parts to it (the boys, the girls, lana). She also looks the youngest she's ever been since AKA. Love the title part as well. I'm disappointed it was in b/w though. The colours from the shoot were so vibrant, it's a shame she got rid of them all. Oh well.

  10. i completely agree with the bolded part, Azealia is more of a hindrance to all progressive movements than a benefit.
  11. i can understand your point, but what i mean is about how white culture tends to appropriate the culture of "lesser" peoples. black people are told almost everyday that cornrows are disgusting, for example, yet someone like Kylie Jenner wears cornrows and it's considered high fashion. rap music is seen as being a lowly, trashy and "urban" music style, yet Iggy is (or was - the tide has turned on her severely) praised for her rapping "skills". of course, there is a difference between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation - eating chinese food, for example, is not at all racist.
  12. I mean, I can understand SOME of her points - the "rant" she had late last year about the appropriation of black culture by people like Igloo was valid. but saying whiteness is a mental illness + white people need to be "cured" of it is just utterly disgusting and something on a Nazi-esque level. I've lost all my understanding for her, she is a nasty individual.

    Britney Spears

yeah but you can tell that from mid-Circus era to only very recently, she's been quite vacant and empty in the way she talks + acts. this video kinda proves that she's starting to get her "real" persona back, which is also evident from the recent POM shows as well.
  16. i just watched it, it's pretty good and a LOT better than the past 2 seasons of AHS. it's very campy + also slightly offensive too but anyway. chanel #1 (emma roberts) is basically a clone of Madison from Coven, although she's not as dark as Madison was and is more of a cross between Madison + Regina George. the style direction for the show is GORGEOUS, each of the girls' outfits are on point. it's not a hilarious show, but i did laugh out loud at quite a few points (the twitter bit + shake it off in particular). i agree with what the person above me said - it's like a funnier + less "horror" Coven and it definitely excels above that season of AHS (i hated Coven but i thought this was really quite good). the show doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't try to be something that breaks the horror-movie cliches; if anything, it embraces them but does so in a clever way (again, the twitter scene). i'd definitely recommend watching it!

    Britney Spears

I can't believe some people still say she's the same distant person from the Femme Fatale tour, you can SO tell that Britney is BACK in this video!

regardless, its nice to hear the way that rihanna is praising Charli, iirc I don't remember Icona Pop doing much of that
  19. i agree, Terrence Loves You has a kind of "i'm sad we broke up, but glad we had what we had" vibe to it, whereas UV is just plain dark and depressed. The Blackest Day is probably the saddest track on the album, but even then it doesn't compare.
  20. it's nice to hear that she actually sounds like she's in a happy place in her life now. ultraviolence was written from a VERY dark place and this is evident not only through her lyrics, but the production also. Honeymoon is what the title suggests and is a lot more positive, which is good to hear. Sure, you have sad moments like The Blackest Day + Terrence Loves You, but these are a lot less compared to tracks like Pretty When You Cry, Flipside, Is This Happiness and so much more from the previous album.

  22. i tear up too like how is possible that someone so beautiful could make something so ugly, a true enigma
