I think she is a feminist, she doesn't like to admit it because of the negativity (wrongly) associated with feminism. she definitely wants women to have better rights, but I just don't think she understands how to put those views across

i like the chorus because she sings 'I can hear sirens sirens', but then 'I can hear violins violins'. it kinda matches the 'he hit me and felt like a kiss'; sirens symbolise danger and violence, whilst violins suggest romance. she hears the warning signs about how wrong he is, but her mind romanticises the violence and turns it into something affectionate. it's so fucking dark, I'm starting to understand why she called this record 'unlistenable'.

I can't decide! They're all so great in their own ways... WC was a perfect bridge between the BtD era and the UV era. SoC was amazing for showing off Lana's vocal capabilities. UV was fantastic for showing how twisted her lyricism can be and introduced the themes of UV. Basically I am really indecisive :cry:

honestly, i thought she was having sex during the bridge because it was sensual and seductive

i love how cohesive this album has been, the single & album covers have followed a similar style and the music is so well connected this era has been amazing so far

Maida Vale sessions are kind of like the Radio 1 Live Lounge sessions, but I *think* they're less stripped-back. All I know is that Sky Ferreira did one once and it was really great.
