Can't wait to see her outfit! The album cover aesthetic with the new stage set would be pure hippie perfection

So, I'm currently working on something kinda like a digital booklet for Honeymoon, where each song gets a frame of a closeup of Lana to give it an intimate feeling, which I think describes the sound of Honeymoon on the whole. Very chill, lush, soft, drawing the listeners in.
Would anyone be interested in seeing the full thing when I'm finished?

I saw that too. Never Let Me Go was also registered around the time the LFL album trailer was released, so I personally don't think anything of it, but who knows?

Woke up 6 hours late and just listened, i think y'all are overreacting (but whats new )
It's a cute little song, I DO wish Lana had the bridge to herself because the melody kinda unravels but overall it's a cute song. I won't deny the transition from verse -> chorus is a bit rushed but lbr that's easily fixed, and then with Lana's contribution; it is a børns song, it's not like Summer Bummer in which there's features but at the end of the day it's still HER song and she owns most of it. Y'all need to listen to more genre's bc a feature still a feature (hey Playboi Carti!)
The song is a smooth bop with a much bigger chorus than I thought ngl, and my expectations, while not blown away- my vision for when the song will be a nice drive was right. Palmy n breezy n cloudy n sunny days in May WILL demand for this song, and so will rainy days.
Also not every song neeeds to have purposeful lyrics on the dot, have y'all not read some of the lyrics on Lana's old unreleased acoustic songs? Some are literally just words that relate to her aesthetic and that's it...also I know this probably a moot point but it's not like old pop songs from previous years weren't word soups themselves, if y'all want to see a mindfuck pop song go listen to (and read the lyrics of) Blinded By The Light
e: ok I reread the lyrics on Genius and idk bout y'all but I'm seeing a very clear story. The first verse is them driving through the night, they're tired but hopeful and happy to see the sunrise. He doesn't want to stop driving because he's excited for this new day. The second verse is the supposed 'couple' driving in the day, they're "baptized" in these blue skies, it's like when you're in a foreign country or state and you reach out and feel the brand new air, the wind, the warmth- it's something you have to take it with every sense you have.
The chorus tells us they're constantly on warm pavement and by the coast (it's obviously California), the 3rd verse is telling us WHY they're here, metaphorically they were kicked out from their previous 'Paradise' and lost total support. With this lack of something to lose, they say fuck it and start driving- they're full of life and don't care.
The bridge is just him hoping God protects and keeps pure all the good things, while they might've been a lost cause from coexisting with their previous life they don't want this gorgeous one to whittle down. Same with the refrain of "God Save, God Save Our Young Blood", they don't want to lose this spark, curiosity, and excitement.
It's basically girl or guy probably lost all support from old home, and their partner and them take every risk and decide to drive out to California for a new life, and by the time they're across the border and they see the sunrise- they're hopeful. God save their young blood n protect them
I don't like the song, but this analysis is great!

i love everyone that is in this thread speaking the truth #magnumopus #weluvHM
Me too!
I really hope more people share their analyses and comments or love for HM in this thread, since it seems that since the era is over, the thread has been forgotten by a lot of people.

I think she said that in a live stream ?
What? Where did she say that?
She supposedly said it to a fan at the pop-up!

I ended with Get Free and started with Love. I feel like Get Free represents how I want 2018 to be for me, and Love is a good omen to start it off.
I see that many others thought the same!

Thank you so much! I'm designing a new concept for the album which I'll post when it's done. Probably be forever though!
I'm so looking forward to that!

A long stalled project because i'm bad at finalising things and compiling them. I think this album is so amazing and infinitely inspiring, what I really wanted to show was Lana Del Ray. The transition between Lizzy Grant to Lana Del Rey. I feel like the defining look of that is Lana in the short film Poolside. She looks insanely good there. All the images of Lana used in this packaging are screencaps from the short film which I have retouched and further edited to make look like official photographs and to improve the quality greatly for print. I used the official cover art as a main inspiration because I think even though it's very low-tech it still has a great atmosphere in it, so I wanted to create something similar. The atmosphere in this album to me is very noir-ish, so I chose to use all grayscale images in the booklet, an effect with sunken highlights which makes the images feel quite sultry.
Gatefold LP 12” Vinyl.
The blue vinyl is the only striking colour here. It's a nod to Lana's homemade videos and her love for party store toy aquariums. It's the opposite to the yellow I featured prominently through the album design.

I've been working on this on / off for so long! Please tell me what you think and be sure to find any lyrics corrections because it's inevitable I probably messed something up!
I know I'm over 2 years late but this is so beautiful, and I personally think the use of Poolside screen caps 100% fits the AKA aesthetic and the blue vinyl with the dollar store fish tanks is probably one of the most creative things I've seen in vinyl concept art. I love that it's something that is classic Lizzy too.
I've looked over this thread and your edits look very very very professional! Exceptionally beautiful work!
