I do that too! I like listening to it at home alone the same way. I like lots of preparative festivities as well (like I always coordinate nails to match Lana’s on the cover, or I have a field day on LB hours before the release lol). Just little things like that make the complete transcendence into the music really special

I thought so too, and Lana later confirmed that in her 2019 NME interview but I guess not everyone caught that!

The sessions for Lana’s side-band with TLSP occurred December 2016 through March 2017. She said this in an interview with Zane Lowe on July 12, 2017. So technically no song from those sessions is really a LFL outtake (that we know of) even though that project + LFL were recorded concurrently.

Because the Canadian store did not have the standard black vinyl, I ordered it from Amazon and it’s supposedly shipping on October 15th, as that’s when it is technically listed as being “released” — it says it’ll take about 5-6 days to arrive, so I imagine it would arrive on the 22nd (which is interesting since her webstore says that vinyls will ship later, on October 29). Keeping my eye out!

Really? My time zone is PDT and new releases are always at 9 PM. I think singles are sometimes local, but albums have always been a worldwide release for me. Maybe it’s a North American thing

Every album cycle we go through this, but the album has always been released when it is 12 AM in New York and 9 PM in LA — regardless of where you are in the world, it won’t be on streaming services until it’s 12 AM in New York! Edit: Never mind — this is only for NA!

Following the funny posts about the album’s trailer — in all seriousness, I absolutely love Lana’s thesis statement for this record, which she shared on September 7. It really feels like this album is essentially her legacy. I think it is, by far, the most important album she will release in her career (I don’t even need to say why, because if you’re on this site you already know).

This is so true. The unreleased tracks she put on the record are, in my opinion, among her best songs ever, so they deserve an official release. I am so glad they are finding a home <3
