Just reiterating what everyone else is saying - “a plan for years” means Lana has been thinking about this for a while. AS&C and Lana Del Rey x Nikki Lane were conceptualized in 2020 the earliest, whereas an unreleased album has been in talks since at least 2017, and Lana expressed her wish to release AKA in the summer of 2012.

Not sure! That’s why I put them in the less likely category lol - given LDR Village and her recent references to AKA + unreleased material this year, I definitely think AKA and the unreleased album are more likely <3

The possibilities: MORE LIKELY: 1. Blue Banisters + Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant (BB featuring a few unreleased tracks with AKA either being re-recorded OR remastered) 2. Blue Banisters + Full Unreleased Album (BB featuring a few unreleased tracks, alongside a full unreleased album, either re-recorded OR remasters of the leaked versions) LESS LIKELY: 3. Blue Banisters + American Standards & Classics (BB released alongside the November 2020 sessions of AS&C) 4. Blue Banisters + Lana Del Rey x Nikki Lane

Album(s)....SUPER delusional to think and this is just a fun thought, but it would be interesting to note that perhaps she’s releasing Blue Banisters (which includes unreleased tracks) and re-releasing AKA (Pawn Shop Blues music video earlier this year, LDR Village teasing those ‘Brite Lite Bites’ in the snacks section) - together, these two records are her “telling her story.” It’s full-circle!

Is the general consensus (based purely on speculation/insiders) that the album is coming out on October 8?

The first half of Lana’s albums tend to contain the most defining songs on the record——and then there’s always that standout track in the second half (e.g. Black Beauty, The Blackest Day, Heroin, The Greatest, etc.) that is a highlight. And that’s still to say that every song on her albums deserves its place on there!! I have a feeling Blue Banisters will be no different.

Hi everyone - I’ve been out of the loop a bit and haven’t had much time to go through the pages so I sincerely apologize if it was already said, but my understanding of the news is that - 1. Arcadia is coming out on Wednesday, September 8 2. The album pre-order is also coming out on that day (?) [according to an insider?] 3. The album is coming out in October (?) [according to an insider?] So excited for the new single and hopefully the album soon!

Happy birthday to Norman Fucking Rockwell! I feel such a resonance with this album and can’t believe it’s already turning 2. An instant classic that will stand the test of time

I think we can conclude that at one point, there were (and still may be) at least 14 tracks on the album, as we know about: 1. Blue Banisters 2. Text Book 3. Wildflower Wildfire 4. Arcadia 5. Cherry Blossom 6. Thunder 7. UV outtake co-written with Barrie 8. Unreleased song (?) 9. Unreleased song (?) 10. Unreleased song (?) 11. Unreleased song (?) 12. Dealer (?) 13. New song written in 2020/2021 14. New song written in 2020/2021 I can’t imagine that she would release an album with more leaked unreleased songs than new (or unheard) material, so I have a feeling that we’re in for a longer album!

I actually love Solar Power! It’s a very calm, subdued, and mellow album. I love a warm and entranced guitar, so she really got me with the overall relaxed atmosphere of the record - perfect for the end of a west coast summer <3

As @Surf Noir mentioned, the song is dedicated to Jane Powers, a friend of hers since 2008! Some of the lyrics also seem to suggest that Jane was a bit of a mother figure, when Lana otherwise didn’t really have one, perhaps internalizing accusations of being a “wild child” by her own mother (“but you never cared about my name, and darling, I never meant to defy you” “I never meant to be bad or unwell, I was just living on the edge - right between Heaven and Hell, and I’m tired of it”). The chorus speaks directly to Jane, whereas the bridge seems to shed light on her own mother. There’s also a distinction between who is being addressed in the verses and the chorus, as Lana mentions “sweet Baby Jane” in the same verse wherein she speaks directly to someone else. But then in the chorus, we know she’s speaking to Jane, so again - there’s that dual perspective. Hope that makes sense!

Since we know Living Legend was on the record at one point, I hope it’s not one of the ones that was scrapped. It’s such a beautiful song and it deserves a final polishing for release. <3 it also reiterates the mother-daughter relationship theme that the album could very well have, as it is explored in Wildflower Wildfire and Cherry Blossom.

Wait, I Can Fly too? Really? Is that legit? That song was already released on the Big Eyes soundtrack lol!

Have we discussed what unreleased songs we think are on the album? I haven’t been in the loop as much so please correct me if I’m wrong, but so far we know about - 1. Cherry Blossom 2. Thunder 3. Potential UV outtake (as Barrie has a writing credit) 4. TBD 5. TBD 6. TBD And Fine China was previously on the record but has now been removed, yes? I could see her using songs from the early UV sessions in 2013, as that acoustic sound (Living Legend, Cherry Blossom, Colour Blue) can totally be modernized to reflect Lana’s current piano-led sound. I could also see her using songs from TLSP sessions as Zach Dawes is a producer on BB and we already know Thunder is on the record.

Wow. I really love this video. It’s so raw, real, beautiful, and a great look at Lana’s inner-workings. It’s quite poignant that she released a stunningly authentic video for an album that came out 2 years ago and reveals a slightly darker side to what was considered one of Lana’s lighter albums. I love it - this video is a reminder of the fact that there are so many layers left to unravel of Lana’s artistry. Definitely one of my favourites.

Hi everyone! I heard the news about the 6 unreleased tracks on BB, as well as the album being over 11 tracks! Lana’s post yesterday felt like a sign of music to come soon, so hopefully Arcadia and the whole album are imminent. I’m super excited for Blue Banisters and can’t wait for all of the extra goodies that accompany an album release as fall dawns upon us, it seems like the perfect time for Lana to release new music. October is such a great month so I’d love for the album to be released then. From what we can assume about the sonic landscape, as well as the richness and warmth of the album cover, the weather of these next few months seems to reflect exactly how the album will feel.
