Just relistened to this album today, and I can honestly say that God Knows I Tried is her best vocal performance on any album. And quite possibly best lyrically.

This. Lana doesn’t seem like the type to take anyone’s shit, and she’s pretty outspoken. But if they were involved I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a willing participant. In terms of the lyrics, the opening line literally talks about her vagina lol. Naming him in the song (if it is him she’s talking about) is not that controversial. Especially considering no one knew about his was until like last week. It’s exactly the kind of cheekiness I’d expect from her.

I’m sure you’ve all seen th news about Harvey Weinstein being scum in the way he treats Hollywood actresses and celebrities. I saw a conspiracy theory on 4chan suggesting that Lana may have been involved, and that Cola alludes to her relationship with him; “Harvey’s in the sky with diamonds” I know it’s super far fetched, but it’s interesting to consider.

The first time I saw her it was a small arena and all you could hear as the fans singing it as awful. The second two time I saw her they were outdoor venues (one was a festival) and it was muuuuch better. But now that she’s playing these huge venues idk what the audio will be like.

I met her after one of her shows a few years ago and she talked to my friend and I got a few minutes. AHes truly such a genuine person. I dragged my friend to the show even though she hated lanas music, and then we met her and now she’s a lana stan too lol. Just because lana was so sweet it totally changed her mind. Also, funny story. That night after the show there were like 30 or so people out there waiting. So when lana came out she came to me first, and my friend gave her a sharpie to sign my Buttweiser tshirt with lol. Then we talked and got pics and whatever. But then a few months later my friend was telling me how she got into a huge fight with her roommate because apparently the roommate used to always steal her stuff from her room, like small things. And so she was pissed at her roommate because she allegedly stole her sharpie, but I was like “uhhhh I think Lana Del Rey actually stole your sharpie”. But now she and the (former) roommate don’t talk lmao long story short, lana broke up my friend’s friendship
